Haven't really been in many B&B's so wasnt sure what to expect but Ammonite Lodge was lovely. Katherine and James were very friendly and very welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic and they even catered for my gluten free diet. Definitely worth a visit. Only 1 tiny problem was the road noise but if you ask for...

One of the bestB&B I have stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners James and Katherine. The place is spotless with lovely little touches all over. The rooms are clean with high class linen and bath towels and so welcoming. Breakfast is awesome with fruits, cereals and cooked to order meals. Go! You won't be disappointed.

Stayed with family recently and really enjoyed our stay. James and Katherine (owners) are outstanding hosts and made every guest feel very welcome. Breakfast spread is really beyond what one would expect from a guest house 10/10 Highly recommended!

We stayed here for one night on the way down to Cornwall. We're treated by the owners with tea and biscuits in the lounge on arrival, very welcoming, friendly and lots of information on places to eat and see. Room was cosy, comfortable, very clean. Our room was the only one without an en-ensuite and bathroom just across the corridor,...

Stayed one night for a family event, room was cosy and peaceful at the rear of the property. Shower room very snug, but this is a period property so rooms are quirky. The Owners are very welcoming and lots of local area information is provided.

We stayed here with friends while attending a wedding in the area, 5 of us in total in 3 rooms, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed in like old friends, offered tea and coffee in the 'snug' which was very appreciated after a 4hour journey. The owners were extremely attentive but not intrusive, the rooms and bathrooms were...

Stayed for one night on business. Very clean and charming bed and breakfast, owners attentive but not intrusive. Quaint building with good attention to detail would definitely stay there again. Enjoyed the breakfast too.

What a wonderful stay! We spent 4 nights in room 6 over the Easter break and Katherine and James were impeccable hosts. The room and beds were comfortable, spotless and everything catered for down to having fresh milk for the tea and coffee facilities. An extra special touch and a very pleasant surprise was a little basket of Easter chocolates...

Ammonite Lodge is the sort of accommodation why I always prefer bed & breakfasts to hotels. As is often the case with b & bs, I felt that I was amongst friends rather than simply being catered for by the bored and faceless staff one encounters in hotels these days. My hosts Katherine and James spared no effort to ensure my...
