From the moment we arrived we received a friendly, personal welcome from mine host. Our accommodation was clean and inviting and the food was first class. We look forward to returning for another visit.

Our younger son was over here with his family from Thailand and together with our other son and his family we spent a couple of nights in April at the Lordleaze Hotel. We were all very impressed with the rooms, the food and the helpfulness of the staff. We used Buyagift vouchers for all three rooms with a small supplement...

The hotel is far more isolated than we had anticipated and an approx 20 minute walk in to Chard for an evening meal down an unlit, pot holed narrow lane was not appealing, particularly the walk back in the dark after a meal, which meant ate in the restuarant for the six night stay.It was the same menu nightly and if you did...

As described in previous reviews you go through a housing estate to find this hotel. Being less than agile we were very disappointed to find that the room we had been promised a few days before was not available. It had a shower which meant that we didn't have to climb over the bath to get at it and would...

Very tranquil location, at the end of a housing estate, you find this converted farmhouse, which is now a hotel. Although could be difficult to find , they have managed to get several signs erected to guide you in. Very much a family run hotel, excellent food, great quality and superbly presented. You must try the bar meal sausages, really...

Just returned from spending 2 nights at the Lordleaze Hotel on a deal which was superb value for money. It was a lovely change to go to an hotel which is still family run and it is very well run with a lot of staff who were all without exception very friendly and welcoming. When we booked we were told...

This is a wonderful little hotel. It's location is a bit odd, driving through a housing estate for what seems like forever and think they could smarten up their signage as it gives the wrong impression. The hotel itself is lovely. We had a large four poster bedroom (extra money and I haven't seen a standard room so can't say...

Lovely hotel with excellent staff, who made us feel very welcome. Rooms are a little dated however the housekeeping is to a high standard not a speck of dust anywhere. A little off the beaten track but a good base to see the surrounding areas. Definitely worth a visit . The Clarks and Martins.

This hotel is one of the last true gems still ran by the family who own it. These guys go out of there way to make your stay amazing. The hotel is in a great quiet spot tucked away on the outskirts of town. The food is superb

The hotel location is a little off the beaten track being situated beyond a small housing estate and down a short single track lane. However it is on the very edge of Chard and centrally located for exploring the delights of Somerset/Dorset/Devon. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are a short journey to the north, to the south is the Jurassic...
