Everything about Mango Drift was wonderful. The beach huts were spotless, the beds comfortable and we loved joining other guests for delicious food under the stars in he evening. We spent our best hours nestled into the comfy boat-sofas in the bar, reading books, and watching our children swing from the bar swings. One unforgettable evening a small choir came...

I was there for about one week, and enjoyed the place immensely. There were only myself and a couple there, so we had the run of the place. It was nice when they set up the dinner table on the beach for a candlelight dinner. Accommodations are basic, but very clean. It's a bit far from town, especially when it...

We had the pleasure to stay in Mango Drift over new years. It is a very idyllic location that offers tranquility and peace of mind. The staff is helpful and accommodating. The prices are not that discouraging, when you look at what you get. Boats are available for loans at all times. Be aware that the lodge has recently begun...

We stayed at Mango Drift for four nights and absolutely loved it. Tucked away on a beautiful stretch of beach, MD is a place where you really can switch off from the world. We arrived very late at night after a long trip on the ferry from Nkhata Bay (don't get me started...!) and a bumpy taxi ride from the...

Great food, great chalets, beautiful views, bedroom, balcony and bathroom. Thank you for sorprising us with the table for 2 that night on the shore of the lake!!!!!...

Placed on an idyllic beach, Mango Drift is located on the ideal location to enjoy the lake view with your feet in the water and your face in the sun. However, as we were happy to finally arrive after a long (13 hour) boat-trip from Nhkata Bay, we quickly concluded that this place did not offer what we came for....

Hi guys I'm sorry to hear of your "disappointing" experience, we are always trying our best to make mango drift a great place to visit and stay on Likoma island. As you have seen with the very long ferry, it is not easy to get many things here, so prices have to be run like a business, as it it...

Mango Drift accommodation may well be ideally set on one of the nicest beaches on the island. They may also have those pretty and atmospheric chalets and staying in those must be nice. But Mango Drift doesn't in my opinion provide a good value for those travelling on budget. There's no internet access, not even the Skyband Hotspot. This was...

Dear Goran Thank you for visiting us at mango drift and for your review. As the new managers here, it is always good to get some customer feedback to improve our services at our lodge. Sorry to hear about the mosquitoes, that's why we have mosquito nets on all beds at mango drift. Being positioned on the lake does bring...

Having stayed at a profuse amount of backpackers and hostels in Southern Africa, this one is quite simply the best. Excellent value for money (cheaper than RSA and Mozam), beautifully decorated and appointed rooms (think bougainvillea flower petals sprinkled on sparkling white linen beds), kind and caring managers who go out of their way to ensure your every whim is...

I spent 4 days at Mango Drift with a friend in December and had an amazing stay. We stayed in a beach chalet which was so pretty, very clean and opened out onto the beach. If you are looking for unspolied nature and peace and quiet then the Island is perfect for you. Jen and Allen are excellent hosts and...

Having spent two days on the Ilala and spending one night at another more expensive report on Likoma Island we were delighted to transfer to the Mango Drift resort. The highlights were plentiful; great views, good food, fun activities and amazing wildlife. Topping the whole trip was the awesome effort put in by Allan and Jennifer (Managers) for a truly...
