The owners of the place, Iwonne and Mauritzio were soo nice... Wonderful place, very friendly workers and delicious food. It is like a dream isolated from world being just one with the nature. Thank you all guys!!! I love the place and the people.

Stayed at Sol Caribe for 3 nights and was delighted by the ambient and low key atmosphere. Sure, the place is difficult to reach (1,5h drive from tulum during dry season) but as all the previous reviews, I fully agree that its well worth the effort. Set at a beautiful part of the beach, rooms were very large (try to...

I stayed here for five blissful days. The location is incredible and the water is amazing. The food as really tasty and staff is great. The food is pricey so be prepared. It cost two of us about $200 per day to eat. So on several occasions we drove down to punta Allen village to eat at the local restaurants.

maybe the wind and rough water was difficult, maybe the road getting there,, maybe the eco rules,,,but waking up in the morning and looking out was a thrill day after day,, good food, drinks, amazing solitude on endless beach,,maybe its not for everyone,,but for us it wasn't long enough,, don't think a month would've been long enough,, we got into...

Now and then you need a hideaway.. to read that book you never finnished or to meditate or just to do things that are not at all related to what you normally do at home! Well Sol Caribe is that spot! For several reasons... 1) you have to DRIVE away from Civilization.. its not that bad drive.. its 2 hours...

A lovely family run oasis on a deserted beach in the jungle of the biosphere. So glad we made the effort for the trip from Tulum to Punta Allen…but I didn't get the memo about just how bad the roads are and how long it would take to get there. BE SURE to get a Jeep or 4x4 and plan...

Yes, it is a hard road to take and I get motion sickness. BUT Soooooo worth the bad road trip! I'll do it all over again & again & again & again just to be there. My husband and I chose this specific place for my birthday celebration. We are not really the crowded, big resort types. I have to...

We stayed at Sol Caribe for three nights, however, our first evening was spent trying to recover from the horrific drive from tulum to punta Allen. We hired a 4x4 as we were aware that the road was going to be bad, however, we never imagined that it would be that bad! It had been raining in the weeks before...

After a 2 hours drive from Tulum into the Sian ka'an Natural Reserve we got in this awesome place. I was shocked by its beauty. Our room, a suite, was right infront of the beach. Food was delicious, staff friendly and helpful. I will defenetely recommend it to my friends and I hope to come back soon. Wishing you all...

Casual, tranquil, secluded and relaxed, Sol Caribe is a small, exclusive, beachfront resort with private cabanas and suites, on the Caribbean Sea side of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula; in the state of Quintana Roo… it is one of the last untouched corners of the Mayan Riviera with a desert island feel. Just 35 km south of the town of Tulum and 8 km from the village of Punta Allen, Sol Caribe is located within a protected oasis of extraordinary natural beauty, the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, Mexico’s largest wetland nature reserve and one of the world’s greatest fly fishing spots on Ascension Bay (Bahia de la Ascension). Explore the Mayan ruins dotting the jungle landscape, snorkel in the Great Meso-American Barrier Reef just off the beach, enjoy the fresh seafood in our beachfront restaurant, watch the sea turtles swimming in the waves… or just relax under a palapa on a white sandy beach that you have all to yourself. ... more   less
