Rooms basic but clean, great position for visiting the volcan and you can walk to la maison des volcans. Breakfast ok. Stuff really helpfull with things to do and the restaurants. WiFi in reception area only, which would be ok, but the reception closes at 9PM.

Stayed here to be near the volcano and location was good for that. Breakfast was ok too. However the bungalows were very basic - and the room/ bathroom smelled very strongly of bleach/ disinfectant. Didn't feel comfortable here and when a piercing alarm went off for about 30 mins, did not feel very secure either. Staff were friendly and did...

Pool table at reception gives you the idea that you can play pool all night, but guess what....everything closes at 9pm so you cant play...hahahahaha..and that includes the bar. Next to the hotel is a restaurant that opens at 6:30pm and closes at 9pm, and the food is crap! you have to reserve a place at hotel reception before 6:30...

The hotel is located very quiet, still on the main street of Bourg Murat. Staff was friendly. A small car Parking is available. The rooms are quite small and are in fact small bungalows with basic but functional furniture. Relatively small bathroom. At night the hotel and bungalow area are quite dark with only some limited lighting. Unfortunately there was...

The bungalows are spacious enough and they all come with a heater, which we needed as the temperature dropped a lot during the evenings. Our bathroom smelled of moist, which I guess is due to the fact that it has not a very good ventilation and it becomes foggy in the evenings. Biggest downside is that the rooms are pretty...

A decent enough place to stay if you are on the way to Piton de La Fournaise (the volcano). Really helpful staff at reception. Rooms were pretty basic. Bathroom heating didn't work. There is a hammam and jacuzzi on-site which is a little bizarre but not unwelcome as it isn't very warm in Bourg-Murat in the winter. Pretty good breakfast.

I had one night here and had very few expectations, given some reviews. But it was a pleasant surprise. Delightful staff, super clean bungalow, excellent bed and crisp linen and decent wifi in the public area. Breakfast was pretty good too. For the price, a good deal.

The spa and sauna was a great touch after a day of climbing the volcano. The rooms were dated however cosy and reasonably clean, not uncomfortable at all. The bar, pool table and mini golf were enough to keep couples and families amused for their stay. The breakfast was huge and gave us enough energy to climb the volcano. I...

Small cozy hotel in the mountain. The rooms are spread in small buildings aroud on the area with hottub and sauna in the middle. There are also a small rastaurant, average food. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are going to the vulcane.

Most people only stay one or two nights with the purpose of visiting the volcano, there is not much choice of hotels in the area. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the breakfasts had an amazing variety and choice. The rooms were clean and practical but the walls were very thin and any noise from the adjoining bungalow could be heard.

Thank Lynne G
