You won't be staying at a B&B. You will be hosted - in every sense of that word - by Stuart and Helen. You will get to hear about their lives if you ask, and about the rich history and experiences of the region and their own. I would suggest you get a bottle of nice scotch from the Costcutters...

Great place to stay in Dufftown. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They had multiple breakfast option to chose from, which was nice. My husband and I especially liked the little carafe of whisky which awaited us in our room upon arrival! :-)

We booked this after reading TripAdvisor reviews, but as this was our first time in a b&b (we usually use budget chain hotels) we were apprehensive about our stay. We needn't have worried. Nothing was too much trouble for Helen and Stuart and Helen's fantastic breakfast is proving hard to beat...not even Radisson Blu could touch it!!! If you are...

Nice double room, engaging hosts, good location in Dufftown where you could walk to the Glenfiddich Distillery. Engaging hosts who provided good suggestions for sightseeing and a dram of whiskey in the room.

We stayed for three nights everything was lovely quiet, comfortable with a good breakfast and very nice hosts we would recommend it and certainly stay there again. It is nicely situated in the centre of the town and within easy access to the distilleries for tours and the hills for walking.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At Dunvegan Bed and Breakfast close to the centre of Dufftown your hosts Stuart & Helen aim to offer you first class comfort and hospitality. Dunvegan is a large stone built 19th-century house located close to the centre of Dufftown - The Malt Whisky Capital of the World. Dufftown nestles in a valley dominated by Ben Rinnes (840m/2755ft) and has the highest concentration of distilleries anywhere in Scotland. An old saying was "Rome was built on seven hills but Dufftown’s built on seven stills;" this no longer applies as there are now nine. Apart from distilleries Dufftown has something for everyone - golf, fishing, walking, wildlife, history, skiing and much more. At the end of your day exploring everything Dufftown and the surrounding area has to offer return to Dunvegan where all our rooms have comfortable beds and TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and for your comfort in winter, electric blankets. We can offer 2 x double, en-suite rooms and a twin room with private facilities. We also offer our guests free WiFi internet connection. There is also a Residents lounge where you can sit and watch television, read the literature about Dufftown and its surrounding area or enjoy a conversation with fellow travellers. We also serve evening meals but these must be booked prior to arrival. ... more   less
