Exceptional experience visiting Giovanni and Giovanna at their cheese farm. We received a tour of the facility which I must say was immaculate. The sheep were out to pasture so we didn't witness the milking process but it was thoroughly explained by their shepherd who spoke English fluently. The highlight of the day was meeting Giovanni and Giovanna and their... More

Places like Paugnano are rare. In this world of speed, screens and supermarkets we easily forget and lose touch with the ground beneath our feet and how it all works, or at least how it all should work. Paugnano is a working farm where the animals are lovingly tended to every day and the land produces fresh, organic fruits, vegetables... More

We did not stay in the accommodation but went for a Saturday lunch. It was like having a family lunch with the hosts Giovanna and her family. There was so much food, and the price was extremely reasonable. We were recommended by some fellow travellers to go to this place and we did not know what to expect but it... More

I spent a wonderful week at this farm. It was like spending a week with my Italian relatives of which I have none. The two bedroom apartment was much better than I expected. I woke up each morning to the sounds of birds and farm animals. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Giovanna is an exceptional cook and I... More

We spent a delightful evening at Podere paugnano. We were staying elsewhere but went to experience giovana's famed lamb and ravioli. We sat around a table with in house guests and giovana's family and farm workers. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed (even though we spoke no Italian!). There was no menu and we were presented with 2 pasta courses... More

I've never stayed in this farm for a vacation 'cause my sister lives near Podere, so I can't judge the rooms or anything else (I can only say that the farm is wonderfull) , but all the times that I'm in Tuscany I go there to buy their cheeses...and I want to recommende all the people that loves cheese to... We had a marvelous stay here for a week in mid-September. Our best friends were travelling with us and the accomodations were perfect. The family was wonderful and there was free wi-fi on the large porch of the main house and in the main room there as well, just footsteps from our lodging. We stayed in the Capanna apartment...a free-standing... More

Excellent villa, very child friendly, fabulous views, friendly hosts - just a shame we can't speak more Italian! One minor point is we would have liked more kitchen utensils, matches, cleaning products, cloths etc.

My wife and I and three children (11, 8,7) stayed with Giovanna and her family and had a wonderful time. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, easy to communicate with and eager to help in any and every way possible. Sadly, we only partook of one meal on the farm and it was wonderful. The family opened up their farm to... More

Paugnano is absolutely fantastic and I would strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a Tuscan farm stay. We stayed at Paugnano in May for 8 nights and the farm was exactly what we were hoping to find in Tuscany. We stayed in the free standing villa called Capanna. It is a renovated barn and has a fantastic rustic feel... More
