Converted from a court-yard farm, Baglio San Pietro sits on a hillside overlooking surrounding villages. There was a wonderful children's birthday party winding down as we arrived - a reflection of the warmth and ease of the place. We were made to feel really welcome. Our evening meal and breakfast next morning were superb as was our room with its...

We were not sure what to expect as we had not stayed at an agriturismo before. But what a delightful experience! The complex is a working farm right on the edge of Nicosia, and accessed by a long driveway. At first glance the complex seemed deserted and even a bit rundown, but this was misleading. We were soon greeted by...

A real gem of a place, a window into central Italy's sophistication. Perfectly appointed rooms, spotless and fresh, with a rustic-meets-modern charm. Fun, young proprietors take pride in offering a boutique experience of Nicosia. The breakfast is the best we had in Sicily.

Definitely more esthetic than many country hotels - if you hate chintz and ruffles - which is relaxing. Very good food and service. Especially the vegetables. Staff and owners are friendly and professional, which is a combination I really appreciate when traveling alone. I'll definitely go back. Despite the patchy internet connection.

Recently purchased by a quartet of hard-working, young new owners, the Baglio San Pietro was a bit of a work in progress during our two day stay in May. We were a bit put off when one of the owners greeted us at the gate, then stood and watched us struggle to bring our bags from the parking lot on...

From the beginning when we booked, Luigi, the owner's son, was more than helpful. This restored farmhouse was a welcome antidote after the multitudes of people on the coast and the long drive cross country. The building is beautiful, and our room was simple but very nice with views out over the valleys. The west facing pool was a wonderful...

The Baglio St. Pietre is a working farm, an "agri-tourismo" that takes in guests. It used to be the headquarters for Emperor Frederick II when he held this part of Sicily. There are two cottages. We stayed in one with two rooms, four beds, a private bath, and a small foyer. Not too fancy, but spotless and private. Breakfast is...
