Spent one night here celebrating our anniversary, spotless rooms, excellent food which deserves the highest recommendation and customer service as good as it's possible to get. Everything about this place exceeded all expectations, we are already planning a return visit and will use The Weatsheaf as our base to visit Edinburgh. I can't praise this place highly enough, Happy to...

This was a treat (voucher) from our son and daughter. When we arrived the exterior was nothing special but inside is a different kettle of fish entirely. It is brilliant. Beautiful decor, very comfortable and a lovely atmosphere. The food was completely delicious and the drinks we had were great too. Every member of staff was courteous, friendly and attentive....

This is a comfortable, Border village hotel that serves truly excellent food. All the dishes we had, at both dinner and breakfast, were beautifully cooked from top rate, local produce and presented with great panache. Our stay was all the more pleasant for the extremely friendly and efficient service. Many thanks.

We have driven past the Wheatsheaf Hotel a few times during our holidays in the Borders so decided to try it out. We had dinner in the evening, midweek. There was a friendly welcome from the staff upon entering and we were shown to our reserved table straight away, taking our coats from us. We were offered the menu directly...

We stumbled upon this place on the internet and decide to give it a go for an overnight trip. A great find! Our room overlooked the village green. It was small, but very tastefully decorated and furnished. The bathroom was also clearly recently decorated, a pile of large fluffy towels was supplied, together with Arran Aromatics toiletries. We ate in...

The Wheatsheaf came recommended to us by a relative who had visited last year. As an added bonus we benefitted from an itison deal which included dinner, bed and breakfast. Our stay was for two nights. The staff could not have been nicer, each person we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the...

Went on an Itison offer for one night. Wish we had booked two or three. Hotel was very comfortable. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room was fantastic. Huge bed and lots of space. Nice sofa to sit and read by the window. The bathroom was lovely too. Bath and shower and lovely vanity unit. Toiletries and...

We stayed here for one night for my husbands birthday. We were in the superior room which it really was, lovely cotton sheets, stylish decor and comfortable space to stay in. The hotel is traditional but stylish, we loved the log fire. Food was local produce, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent and the breakfast was exceptional. Look forward to...

Just spent 2 night here. We were allocated room 6, which was comfortable but much smaller than our friends' room (number 8 in the annex). From check-in to leaving, every member of staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The ambiance in the bar with the welcoming open fire is ideal if complete relaxation is what you're after, although there...

This is a little gem of a hotel. Stayed for one night for dinner, bed and breakfast with my dog in tow. Nice room (not the biggest but it was only a standard and there are executive rooms available) but the bathroom was nice and spacious. Really nice attention to detail from lovely artwork and lovely fluffy towels to well stocked...
