What a gem! Casitas Tenorio is beautiful, well-run, organized, friendly. The proprietors not only run this lovely little bed and breakfast, but also a functioning, full-on farm which plays roles in educational programs for local kids and schools. They are local leaders in the rural tourism movement, within which they work their butts off to not only run a great...

As we drove up to Casitas Tenorio we were in awe. The casitas are set within a tropical paradise setting. From bird watching at breakfast, sloth searching along the trail, and listening for monkeys in the trees - not to mention relaxing on the porch to frog and insect song. Breakfast was a delicious Costa Rican style feast, inclusive of...

Very friendly and great hospitality. We enjoyed our three nights with great pleasure and are all very enthousiastic about the lodge and the location. The local trial and farm activities were also attractive to the boys. Daytrips to the National parque of Tenorio and Cano Negro were excellent as well.

I wish I had planned to stay longer! The house was so nice! It was comfortable, clean, and had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. It also had wine glasses! The breakfast was also great!

Casitas Tenorio was the absolute jewel at the center of our Costa Rica experience. The beauty of the lush, overgrown rainforest location dripping with flowers, birds, sloths and creatures is paired with the beautiful hearts of the hosts, who give each visitor a personal experience of a warm, authentic connection. We will never forget Casitas Tenorio and actually we could...

Pippa & Donald are great hosts! They answered all of our questions about hiking the Tenorio waterfall/volcano area & how to get there. Lodging was as described & the breakfast was delcious. This was my families first stop upon arriving in CR. Only regret is that we didn't stay an additional night to explore the beautiful grounds they have.

The casitas were amazing! Extremely clean, comfortable, and the hosts Pipa and her husband were amazing. The surrounding area was very walkable and not far from food/groceries. The water was clean, the balcony gorgeous, and the beds were very comfortable. They even made us vegan pancakes that were out of this world! A gorgeous and happy stay was had by...

Beautiful rooms in the middle of the forest! At least 'casita mariposa'; clean, well decorated but simple, with glass door to a small porch to see and hear nature. Breakfast was delicious; owners are sweet and friendly. We were very happy being there, would go again! Lots of things to take pictures. You can milk a cow too!

Our family including two teenagers stayed in casita number 4. It was beautiful! We loved our porch and our views from the bedrooms. Within minutes of arriving a troop of howler monkeys climbed past our porch. The grounds are beautiful and we saw two sloths on a short trail located on the property. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and...

Pip and Donald are the most wonderful hosts! The property is incredibly beautiful and the breakfast each morning was some of the best food we ate. Bijagua was a fantastic place to experience costa rica; friendliest, most welcoming people! We would love to return!
