We stayed with Venetia and Malcom at Urlarmore for a 3 night family mini-break at the end of February so we could try out some skiing in the Lecht 10-15mins away. My 3 and 5yr old children and I were warmly greeted with afternoon tea on arrival and a gift bag for each of the children with some little surprises....

We were on our way by bike to John O'Groats and we needed a place to shelter from the stormy winds in the Cairngorms. Malcolm and Venetia welcomed us like old friends, provided a splendid dinner and entertained us royally. the place is not your run-of-the-mill B&B - some of the features of the place are intriguing - the hot...

Must like cats and dogs! We stayed for one night as we passed through Tomintoul. Venetia's cooking was wonderful. She and Malcolm were very generous. Bedrooms were adequate with hot shower. Lovely countryside.

Hi.... Thank you for your complimentary comments about Venetia's cooking and the hospitality. We're sorry that you found the bedrooms small, not much we can do about that. Will put dimensions on the description for future guests. Also, we didn't realise you were uncomfortable with our cats and dogs. Sorry, but wish you'd mentioned it because we would have made...

Stayed here for one night while walking the Speyside Way. Malcolm very kindly picked us up from Tomintoul and dropped us off again the next day to restart our walk. Venetia cooked us a delicious meal while we relaxed in the hot tub. Really enjoyed our blether with them - they have a few interesting tales to tell! Tasty breakfast...

We didn't actually stay here because it was fully booked but I mentioned that my great, great grandmother had been brought up at Urlarmore around 1820/1830's. Venetia & Malcolm then very kindly invited us to dinner. They also invited a friend along who had lived there for nearly 40 years and had many tales to tell. They are wonderful hosts...

We came across the sign on the road by accident after so many places were fully booked. Both my husband and I and our friends were pleasantly surprised at the country home cooking and welcome. we enjoyed an evening of interesting discussions and soon ate some home cooked venison pie and desert. Well placed for people who like the countryside...

We stayed here for 4 nights while biking the Glenlivet trails. Upon arrival we were met with a very warm welcome, Venetia and Malcolm offered us anything we needed throughout our stay making it feel like home from home. The B&B offers everything you need and more, including a hot tub which after a days riding is an absolute gods...

This is the perfect place to stay after a day in the great outdoors be it cycling, hiking, or skiing, We stayed here after completing a 106 mile cycle arriving to a warm welcome from the hosts and their wonderful Yorkshire Terrier. We visited Tomintoul for a long weekend at half-term. Situated just 10 minutes drive from The Lecht and about 35 from Cairngorm, it seemed like a good bet for the option of at least one day's skiing, given the recent snowfall. We chose to stay at Urlamore after reading some good reviews on Tripadvisor. The welcome from Venetia and Malcolm...

We stayed here for a couple of nights while exploring the countryside. Malcolm and Venetia were excellent hosts and we had a great time. Upon arrival, we were given cakes that Venetia had made. Not only were they tasty, but it was a really nice touch. They also have the cutest welcoming party (a mini yorkie puppie and black kitten)....
