I originally booked a 2 week holiday but just could not stand to return to the cold weather so I extended my stay by a further 9 days. All with thanks to the Melia (staff and management) and Frank, the Air Transat rep. I have been to Cuba, although other areas, so this was my first time to Cayo Coco....

This was my 3rd year in a row staying here. I keep coming back because of the staff. They are great and are now my friends. They are very appreciative of any tips or gifts given to them. They do not have much, and their pay is very low. Last year one of the performers/Kids Club/Physical activities employees told me...

Firstly I'll begin by saying that it is rated as 5 star but that is a 5 star for Cuba. If you was expecting the luxiouries of a 5 star anywhere else in the world, slightly naive as Cuba is still a third world country. Nonetheless I had this in mind before travelling, therefore when I arrived I was plesantly...

I am writing this review from the point of view of a groom who has just got married at the Melia. My wife (strange saying that...lol) will no doubt write one from her point of view later as she's had more to do in the organising and other things while we were there so can write a bit more about...
