We stayed here 6 years ago and had the most amazing holiday, I love Cuba and the simplicity of it, I have recommended it in those years and would have described it as rustic and charming then. Fast forward to April 2017 when I travelled with my young family and parents and it's now run down. I often review hotels...

We stayed here 13 years ago for our then 25th wedding anniversary and unfortunately the rose tinted glasses let me down. The entire hotel is in need of a refurb and I believe that is due to happen soon. The staff were typically Cuban i.e. very friendly and courteous. The food however was not the high standard it used to...

We didn't actually stay at the Sol Cayo Guillermo, we stayed at the Sol Cayo Coco. However due to them being Sister Companies, we were allowed to use the facilities that the Sol Cayo Guillermo had to offer. We took the open top bus down to the Sol Cayo Guillermo for 5cuc each and then spent the day there. We...

2nd visit to this hotel in April this year, 1st time in 2013 was fabulous which was why we returned. What a mistake!!
