We stayed at the hotel for 10 days it was absolutely fantastic. We arrived after out transfer at 11.30pm and George and his family were there to greet us and help us to book in and get any essentials from their supermarket next door. The hotel charges €10 euro per night for air con which was needed in 40c plus heat but well worth the expense. However the safe and wifi is free something which is quite rare even in Pefkos.
The room was a studio room 240 and facing the pool and sea across the road. The room was clean and very nice and had everything we needed for our stay.
The Supermarket next door is run by Domna and her Mum both very pleasant and the shop as everything you need. If you need something that isn't in stock they will get it in for you but we managed fine and it's a lot cheaper than in central Pefkos.
The hotel is run by the Kritikos family they are truly lovely people they work very hard and long hours and always have a smile and chat to everyone. Robert on reception is a great source of information and helped us with any questions we needed answering. We booked on the greek night bbq on our 2nd night it was really good the food was spot on and the greek dancing even with social distancing was really good.
The Canteena they have on the beach serves really good food, breakfasts especially are very nice and the snack menu and drink prices are very fair indeed. George and Michalis who work there with Aldo are really good lads they work extremely hard.
Palm Bay hotel is 800m from Pefkos centre about 10 min walk but please dont let that put you off. Its a wonderful hotel and we have been to Pefkos 5 times now and it's been our most enjoyable stay yet. The hotel always as plenty of loungers and the pool area was kept very clean and loungers sprayed prior to sunbathing early morning.
All in all we will definitely be returning to Pefkos and the Palm Bay hotel and I'd like to thank Peter and George and there families and staff for our stay and wish them well for the rest of the season.

We originally booked this holiday for a stay in June, but like many others we had to rearrange the flights and hotel for a September date due to the original Covid lockdown disruptions. We were not 100% certain that we would make it and it was touch and go right up until the day whether Rhodes would become one of the "no-go" destinations. Anyway, we got there but it was with a feeling of trepidation and uncertainty of what to expect. We knew that some of our favourite bars and restaurants were closed for this season and we did not know how the restrictions would affect the hotel. We should not have been concerned as this wonderful family had everything covered. They have hastily, but tastefully, built a brand new beach bar/restaurant which is a great addition to the hotel. The pool and sunbed area was open (but not Michaels pool bar for this season) as was the hotels supermarket and reception area, so things felt nice and relaxed. We spent many an hour down at the beach bar and it was particularly nice having the eggs and bacon etc just yards from the sea. Because the family all weighed in and shared the various hotel duties, it was a nice way of actually sitting down and talking to them. They all took on new duties this season to ensure that the hotel guests had as good a time as possible and it is full credit to them for being bold and staying open during this horrid year. They overcome the room cleaning by asking us to simply give them a day and time we wanted a clean and the cleaners would then go in whilst the room was empty. We missed the entertainment this year, but we knew we would, but there was still a very good cluster of bars and restaurants open in Pefkos and in Lardos it felt just the same as any other year. It was just great to get away from all the doom and gloom for 11 nights and we never once felt unsafe or at risk. It was yet another lovely holiday at our favourite Palm Bay and it really does feel like we are going back to meet our "other" family. as the years go by. We wish all of you a well deserved break through the winter/spring and fingers crossed that Covid is all but gone by the holiday season next year and we can all get back to booking our breaks with no worries. This family deserves a bumper year next season, as do the people of Rhodes, who have always welcomed the Brits to their lovely Island. If you're thinking of going to Pefkos next year, then look no further than this hotel. Thanks for all uour usual help Renee, much appreciated. We missed seeing Michael this year (and Nikki) and we wish him a speedy recovery and know that both he and the restaurant/bar will be up and running next year and going as strong as ever!

We have just retuned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. The rooms are simple, Our room for 4 (Room 230) had a decent sized shower / bathroom. Air con is a must but quite expensive at £70 a week for one unit and the second was half price. We didn't use the kitchen facilities but looked as though it had everything you'd need. There were lots of stairs which isn't great for people with restricted mobility. There was a small balcony with table and chairs along with a clothes air dryer. We weren't advised before the trip that the main restaurant and bar were closed due to covid. There is a beach bar/cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. This was reasonably well priced and had a good selection. They also do a BBQ night, Tuesday/Saturday. Its worth noting that room cleaning / bed changing / clean towels all have to be requested as a result of Covid19. The swimming pool is a good size although my children (15 & 13) preferred the sea. The pool / beach and cafe are situated across a busy road. There is limited parking but people seem to just park wherever they feel like!

I and my wife transferred here with 5 days’ notice after our planned Lanzarote holiday was finally cancelled and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We stayed for ten nights in the basic but clean studio apartments beneath the swimming pool as that was all that was available at time of booking. With regards to Covid precautions, hand sanitiser is available at strategic locations, staff wear masks or a visor and everything was always clean and distanced.

I think a major plus for this hotel is the general ambience around the place and everyone who works there always seemed happy and eager to assist. The welcome from George on reception set the scene, I must give a mention to all who worked at the Beach Bar, especially Jorge and the Michael’s, we stayed B&B and were always greeted with a cheerful and prompt service each morning and we always ended up there later on each night or at the Greek night (well worth a visit).

The swimming pool area is pleasant enough but we preferred lazing some of the days away at the little beach in front of the hotel, hiring sunbeds and parasol for 10e, swimming in the warm, shallow, calm sea and utilising the beach bar for drinks and decent lunch time snacks.

We used the local bus service right outside the hotel to Rodos town 6e each way and a 1 hour 5 mins or 1 hour 25 mins depending on the bus caught. We also caught the bus into Lindos a few times, these run roughly every 45-50mins 1.80e each way, with a taxi back 10e. We also caught the glass bottom boat from Pefkos to Lindos harbour one way for 16e, it takes about an hour and does take you to some lovely secluded bays on the way.

We ate out every night and went to Lambi’s, Hellas, Karma, Tsambikos, Lorencos, Red Dragon (Chinese) and dionysos (Lindos) and went to the Palm Bay Greek night twice. I wouldn’t put anyone off going to any of them, they were all very good.

We really enjoyed our stay here, made some great friends and have decided that we would like to return not only to this hotel, but to Pefkos when hopefully the world can be back to some normality and everything is open as usual.

We have just got back from 6 nights at Palm Bay, we had an amazing time and wanted to share this with anyone considering going away at this time. On arrival George (one of the owners) greeted us with all the information we needed about the resort. He was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease. The hotel was very well managed with sanitiser available and masks being worn where necessary. The hotel itself was very clean and the atmosphere was exactly how you would like it to be on your holiday on any other year. It felt calm, friendly, safe and relaxing. Palm Bay is family run and everyone plays a part, which is really nice to see.
The resort would be ideal for families, couples and friends. It has a good size pool, beautiful beach with a small decked restaurant, supermarket on site and a selection of additional restaurants and bars a short walk away. We were informed it was quieter then usual this year (for obvious reasons) but to us this was fine, as we just wanted to get away with some sunshine, relax on the beach and enjoy some Greek cuisine!
The beach is directly in front of the hotel and breakfast is served there, which was such a lovely touch! They also hold a BBQ night with unlimited wine or soft drinks... (some of the staff even did some Greek dancing which we enjoyed! 😁). All of the staff are very accommodating, friendly and efficient- happy to help with anything and thoroughly adhere to safety expectations. Overall, just what we needed and highly recommended for a Sunshine break! Thank you Palm Bay 2020 :)

We had a one bedroom apartment, nearly decorated with a walk in shower. We had a lovely seaview. The beds were comfy as they all had memory foam mattresses.

The kitchen was well equipped to make breakfast and lunch, you can even borrow a toaster from reception.

There are two aircon units in the apartment, it costs 10euros a day with the second one half price. However, you do not need the second unit, if doors are left open the new unit will cool the entire apartment.

The pool area was quite busy, however we spent our time on the glorious quiet beach. The sea is very aquamarine blue colour and its great for snorkeling.

The beach bar made lovely reasonable priced food with great staff!

The location is good, 10 min walk into Pefkos or bus stop right outside.

All the staff and owners were so friendly and helpful.

We will return to this hotel, maybe in October if our other holiday gets cancelled.

We had an enjoyable week at Palm Bay.
The hotel is situated either side of the main road into Pefkos. It’s a 10 minute walk along the road to the town centre which is perfectly ok in the cool of the evening.
The beach by the hotel is a mix of sand, rock and shale and the sea itself has seaweed and rocks so I would say it was ok for adults but not children.
The rooms are a mix of good and bad. The kitchenette area is fairly modern whilst the bathroom could do with updating. The toilet needs to be flushed about 3 times after use, speaking to other guests it seems this was a common problem.
Although the towels and sheets were changed on a regular basis the cleaning of the room was poor.
The plus point was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Both the reception and restaurant staff were excellent with a special mention to George in the restaurant.
The location didn’t suit our group as we preferred the main beach in town so ended up walking in twice a day. However if you want a budget hotel where you can lie by the pool or sea then this may well suit you.

We stayed here last year and absolutely fell in love with the place so decided to come back this year. The family that run the hotel and all the staff are absolutely wonderful and they remembered us from last year which just showed to me that they really care about their guests. The new beach veranda is gorgeous and really adds to your experience. The food was cooked to perfection every night and George’s service was amazing! He always had a smile on his face despite the fact that he must be shattered as he’s there from 8am until midnight everyday.

In terms of the situation with COVID-19, the hotel’s handling was brilliant. All the employees wore masks and gloves, and requested that we wear masks while in the shop and reception. All the sun beds around the pool are spaced out to adhere to social distancing and are sanitised frequently. I felt very safe staying here.

Thank you very much to all the staff that looked after us and see you again next year!

Our first time visiting Pefkos, we booked last minute & stayed at Palm Bay Hotel. The hotel had only just opened due to the ongoing pandemic. We received a lovely warm welcome from Renee & Donna. We requested a sea view room and stayed in room 222 which over looked the sea. The room was spacious, clean and modern with a small kitchenette. The bathroom was also modern & spacious & had a proper glass shower screen which was great as I hate been wrapped around in a shower curtain whilst having a shower!!
Aircon & safety deposit box was extra, we would have preferred it to be included in the cost of our stay. However as the hotel was quite a reasonable rate we didn’t mind paying. Air on is a MUST as it really is so hot!!!

We enjoyed breakfast each morning served by lovely George. Choice of cooked breakfast or fruit, continental breakfast , juice , tea & coffee.
We had an issue with our sliding door not locking correctly, we contacted reception & it was sorted straight away.

The beach opposite hotel was lovely however When we arrived it wasn’t quite ready for visitors, there was a bit of building work going on as they prepared the area with diggers etc. We originally booked the hotel because it was directly on the beach & we preferred the beach to the pool. Initially we were a bit disappointed that we were unable to use that part of beach but it wasn’t too much of a problem as we used the beautiful large sun beds next door which belonged to Corelli. These were free as long as you bought your drinks etc from the shop or bar which we did each day.

On our 9th day of our stay the beach by hotel was eventually ready the beds were well spaced out with umbrellas & table. We were able to use these free of charge which was a kind gesture from Renee along with a lovely bottle of wine! It was lovely & quiet & very relaxing. It did start to get a bit busier towards the end of our holiday.

We had a lovely time in Pefkos & were made to feel so welcome. Renee & her family are so friendly & will go above & beyond to make your stay a wonderful one. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely recommend & will return again one day. 🙂

Yes deffo the beach shoes, very pebbly in patches. They do sell them cheap in the shop. My TV was tiny and I never switched it on. I took a loaded tablet. If you go to Google maps and zoom in you can see the bay. I really do not know if there are fish but email them. They are Greek after all

I was there 1st to 22nd May and the first week can be dodgy. After that the weather was superb, mid 20's. Plenty of restaurants near and a short walk away in the village. Prices are good. They all have menu price boards outside the restaurants.
