It's a mansion house not a castle. We were expecting more for the price. The grounds are nice to walk around and the view from our room over the lake was lovely. The room was small, but the bathroom was spacious. The highlight was the dinner...More
Beautiful located hotel. In the countryside of Ireland. Beautiful room, amazing room. Everything is very well kept. Great staff of people that go out of their way to make your stay more wonderful. You will need an electric adapter, since the hotel doesn't have any....More

We spent the night at the hotel on a Dinner BB Package and came away very underwhelmed. Even though it was a Saturday night the hotel lacked any sort of atmosphere or buzz. Room was just adequate, fridge not on never mind the fact there...More
Absolutely gorgeous building and grounds. Beutiful food and excellent staff. However i felt it was all overpriced. We booked a double room thinking we would be staying in the main castle but were allocated a room in the modern building away from the castle. The...More

The Wi-Fi when we stayed was not good to non-existent in our guest room. As mentioned in my review, we were in the converted stables and the walls were very thick stone, as they are throughout the castle. I didn't look for evidence of it, but even with a transmitter in the hallway outside the room, I think the signal would be weak inside the rooms. The signal in the common areas (Great Hall, bar, restaurant, hallways) was just fine for our needs such as checking email.
