The “Godwad” Leopard Camp is an idea derived by a team of experienced tourism professionals. The thought is to club all our experience together & provide the visitors with a memory immersed in the syrup of authenticity, care & a true experience of a wildlife & cultural safari. The team operating the “Godwad” Leopard Camp is a group of individuals experienced in various aspects of tourism. With a background of operations in adventure tour operations in Rajasthan & years of experience in mobile camping in places like Pushkar, Jaisalmer, Kutch, Kumbh Mela etc., This will be the first fixed base for our team in safari camping. Our sister concern list of other tourism ventures is mentioned below on the web page. The “Godwad Leopard Camp” is located in the heart of the region popularly known as “Godwad” (to know more, please read the Godwad section on our homepage). It is an area not only dear to Leopards, birds & other wildlife but at the same time, is one of those few areas which have preserved the local cultural practices, as close to its most authentic existence. The cultural immersion opportunities in this region are immense even today. The kinds of people you will interact here with are: 1) The maverick shepherd community of “The Raikas”. 2) One of the oldest tribes to exist in India “The Garasiyas”. 3) The tribal warriors called “The Bhils”. 4) The nomadic ironsmiths “Gadoliya Lohars”. 5) The porter’s community “Kumhars”. 6) The community of faith healers “Naths”. Of course, the main activity here being a Leopard safari, but there a plethora of activities to indulge yourself as a guest of “Godwad Leopard Camp” (please visit the activities link on our home page). So we welcome you with the warmth of our traditional hospitality for which Rajasthan has been known for centuries & the “Godwad” region also holds a special place in this legacy.

We came to Godwad Safari Camp on recommendation from our tour operator, and we were not disappointed. We did two safaris, and saw leopards both times, include a female and her cubs. The team were extremely knowledge and insightful about the leopards and their habitat. They then took us to a the local reservoir to see crocodiles, and provided tea and biscuits on the waterside. A genuinely lovely experience. The hospitality from the owner and his team was nothing short of exemplary from start to finish. They looked after us so well, and even as we were unwell on arrival, they were more than happy to change plans and meals to accommodate us. The village walk was enlightening, and they even added on a Rajasthani cooking demo when the other guests had left. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of a safari in India to make the trip!

Our visit to Godwad Leopard Safari Camp was truly a unique experience. Not only do you get to stay in a tent and have a campfire, but a wildlife expert takes you on an exciting four wheel drive excursion to see the leopards in the nearby hill caves. We saw three! A great way to see another aspect of India.

Great experience For those wanting to try Glamping and fun outdoor adventure. The tents are rustic but comfortable. We had 4 safari’s and were able to see leopards on 3 of the them with range of other animals to experience. Our guide Pramod was great! Informative, attentive and friendly. The experience of 4 wheeling around the forest and the rocky hills was a blast. We really recommend this trip!

I am writing this review on behalf of 14 people who were with me. We stayed at Godwad camp, the time we entered, we saw a beautiful sunset followed by a wonderful dinner with the folk show!! The next day we went for the village walk which was organised by Mr. Ajay and each one of us loved it as it truly introduced us to the heart of our India, our rural village and it's simplicity :) Every meal was delicious, the camps were comfortable and beautiful and we had the best time there! This stay surely was a highlight of our India trip🙏

This was a little gem in an oasis. Quiet simple, clean and comfortable. What made this camp stand out was the service, hospitality, surroundings and ethos. So much more than we expected and so much more offered than we were aware. Trip to the local village was so interesting and all so welcoming. There are electric bike rides also for shorter or longer experiences in the local area along with hikes too. Sitting under the Neem tree, taking a breath in what’s been an enjoyable but full on experience of the region was worth every minute. We only stayed for one night to see the leopard (which we did) but kicking ourselves we didn’t stay longer.

Leopard Love Peaceful and Beautiful location with spacious and clean tents. Enthusiastic host guide and staff. They were all extremely proud of their safari camp. Four wonderful safaris in two days. The highlight of leopards mating plus a jackal on the drive home. Spectacular views from igneous rock formations are breathtaking. Jawai is a bird paradise. A visit to the village and school was a special experience. Enthusiastic teachers and happy students. Lokendra was a brilliant guide. Passionate knowledgeable and caring about the local wildlife. A very safe driver. Delicious local Rajasthani food served with care and hoping for my enjoyment. Breakfast by the dam while watching buffalo swim to their pasture was amazing. Ajay the perfect host…..enjoying his dream with passion. No crowds… a very relaxed safari. I loved it. It was a pleasure to enjoy the company of delightful people.

It is a must recommended place for glamping experience. Very well sized tents with all facilities. The staff was very courteous and helped with everything that we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the time spent here. Outdoor areas can be better maintained with greenery and nice pergola with good furniture setup. Also, food choices can be made little better that can cater variety of people.
