Our whole experience was like staying in a fine country house. Our suite was very grand and extremely comfortable. Excellent home cooked mealtimes were shared with Thakur Bajeet Singh (Winku) and his son who run the hotel, so interesting tales were share. The ranger who took us on the leopard hunts was very knowledgeable and eager for us to get good sightings of them. Also saw crocodiles. The early morning trip included the dam where monkeys were active. The walk round the village with one of the staff was very interesting & including seeing the local upturned shoes being made. Thank you.

Fantastic stay with Baljeet and his family in the beautiful Castle Bera! Winku (Baljeet) is very friendly and welcoming and joined us every day for meals (delicious variety of food!) and candlelit evening drinks in the beautiful gardens. You can immediately tell how passionate and proud he is of the leopards and his amazing heritage and family history. The safaris are well organised with knowledgable and experienced guides who make every effort to make sure you don't leave without seeing the top attraction; leopards! After no sightings on my first morning safari, I was rushed off for an extended afternoon drive just to make sure I got to see two leopards lazing outside their cave. I was even brought lunch and a cold beer out to the hills so I could enjoy watching the big cats
