We went there immediately after Diwali with complete family. The place has a very warm and lovely feeling about it. The staff and the owners are very polite and attentive. The safari experience couldn’t be better. The driver made sure that we get to see a leapord on each and every safari. From my 7 year old son to my 50 year old mom, everyone just had a beautiful time. The food is excellent One of the best home stays you will ever find with a splash of Royalty!!
To recuperate from our LOCKDOWN blues we hit the road for 3 months soon after.Castle Bera was among top 3 places among over 30 we covered. Highly professional. We had hardly checked in that we had some banging on our door. A leopard had been spotted by team of castle Bera trackers. We didn't even unpack and rushed into a jeep. This guy drove like formula one and exactly in 30 minutes of arrival in Bera we were in front of a massive Male leopard in the most awesome landscape of massive boulders to be seen to be believed. Our guides and drivers were loaded with good dslrs and binoculars. More was in store next morning. Owner baljit jee is very knowledgeable and quite a raconteur. His passion for nature is infectious and is obsessed with big cats. His son is a wild life photographer…
I stayed for four nights at Castle Bera and had a wonderful experience. Thakur Sahib Baljeet Singh is a warm, gracious and very kind host. The property is a heritage property with more than three centuries of history (if that aspect takes your fancy, there are thousands of historically valuable photographs and paintings all over the property - a bit like the Imperial Hotel in Delhi). I went on eight safari rides and found leopards on seven out of eight (which is an exceptional "strike rate"). The drivers are experienced and know their way around Jawai. In addition to this, a visit to lake Jawai is a must. Thakur Sahib arranged a visit to Lake Jawai for me and accompanied me on a close to full moon night. It is visually stunning. Highly recommended.
Castle Bera , which is a Heritage Property and staying in Heritage Property is itself a nice experience , Rooms are clean and has an Old and traditional shadow in its interiors , Food is too good and authentic Rajasthani .... Above all it’s Hospitality... The property is taken care personally by the owner Thakur Baljeet Singh ji ., A very humorous and A Jovial personality ... I wish him Best Wishes for his personal Efforts 👍 But the only issue is .... it’s lil expensive !! Besides this .. they arrange a wildlife safari which is quite worthy as there are lot many leopards in this region and the driver of Jeep Mr Bheru is a nice escort during wildlife safari and nearby is a very beautiful Dam ... Jawai Dam ,, where u can easily see a crocodile .... Overall we had a Great…
Castle Bera is a quaint little Rawla of yesteryears amidst the humdrum of Bera. It made for the perfect haven and served me a much-needed peaceful getaway this November. What sets Castle Bera apart from the rest is the genuine involvement of its host, Winku bana, who is a die-hard wildlife enthusiast, and an immersive storyteller. Not only did he accompany us on each one of our leopard safaris, but also took out the time every evening to enthral us with some hilarious anecdotes that left me laughing until I had stitches. The food was homecooked and wholesome. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who visits Jawai for Winku bana's heartfelt, personalized hospitality and the welcoming staff at Castle Bera. During your visit, make sure to check out his son Yaduveer's…
