I had an outstanding stay at Bera Safari Lodge. I highly recommend this place and Bera in general if you are interested in seeing Leopards and Bird life in a scenic, yet natural environment. Sightings are a matter of luck anywhere in the world, but this place did not disappoint. I saw leopards on each of my six rides during my three day stay. The food served here is great and they also have a small but complete library on wildlife in the area and in India in general. There are nice places on the lodge property to sit outside or in the evenings, great star viewing at night, at least in January. The managers of the place, Ruturaj and his wife are a young energetic and educated couple that are extremely knowledgeable about wildlife, conservation and even about travel to other areas in India to view wildlife. Their English is outstanding, if that is an issue for prospective travelers. I had a great time here and I've done a safari in Africa and traveled to over 25 countries. This place is a hidden treasure. It does not disappoint.

It was my very first wildlife safari and I was rather apprehensive about the whole trip but as soon as i landed i was greeted by Neha who was so courteous. Her infectious smile made me feel calm and she had taken the time out to talk me into what to expect during my stay. the staff too were very hospitable and ensured we had all our meals and in the time we overslept they came and gave us a reminder about the upcoming safari. The food was so delicious during dinner ruturaj (staff in charge) had joined us and we had a nice conversation on our experiences of the day. Two days spent were worthwhile. We also made friends with our safari co-passengers and let's not forget Magnum the watchdog. Magnum is adorable and ensures one is never left to feel lonely. This stay is highly recommended. We spotted leopards ( adult and sub-adult) and a variety of birds.

One of the most fulfilling experiences of witnessing animals in their habitat. A unique setting for observing leopards, aided with informative guide and naturalist Rituraj and acutely observant driver-spotter Bhairosingh. We had a great time while on the safari or at the dinner table savoring the most delicious food with local aunthetic delicacies.. The staff is highly attentive and helpful.

Bera Safari lodge is an excellent combination of comfort, adventure and a sense of tranquil. The hospitality is very warm, engaging , alert to your needs at same time offering you much needed space to take in the rustic magnificent terrain. Safari rides are extremely well managed and planned to sight the jaw dropping ,gorgeous leopards of this area. Special mention to delectable Rajasthani food that lodge prepares which is very different from the tourist circuit food that one associates with Rajasthani cuisine. Hearty vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is a delight for senses after the rugid adventure ride through safari. The range of house made pickles are not to be missed We are impressed and absolute humbled by the talent and skill set of all the sadari drivers . Added bonus is their keen understanding of leopard habitat and regard they hold for the wild cat It's an experience that will stay with us for a long long time Rituraj, Neha are passionate environmentalists committed to make sure that you are going back with wonderful memories of Bera. We had the pleasure of insightful conversation with them. The entire team is sincere & attentive to making your stay at Bera safari lodge delightful. If spotting leopard in their natural habitat is on your mind , this is where the search ends. Best wishes to Bera Safari lodge . Please keep up the excellent work!

Rajasthan is usually associated with palaces, deserts and luxury hotels. A Safari is perhaps the last thing in ones mind when it comes to this state. Tucked in a corner around 130 kms from Udaipur lies the villages of Bera, Jawai, Kothar etc. which is the home of leopards. Surrounded by Granite hills and villages whose livelihood is on Goats, Buffaloes and Cows the leopards and crocodiles (yes there are lots of them) have been living in coexistence with the villagers. If you are a bird watcher then a visit in Nov-Jan will be an experience to see winter visitors. Talk to your safari guy to take you to ponds in the villages of Bijapur, to Jawai Dam banks, Rungnathpur lake. The Bera Safari Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. Stone cottages with spacious rooms and good clean amenities, bed and toilets (for me this is THE most important element), along with hot cooked food served with the typical hospitality of Rajasthan makes this place a wonderful stay. The host Rituraj is very knowledgeable, having worked across many safari's across the country. He and his team go the extra mile to make sure you have the best experience.

Our three days at Bera were wonderful. We saw leopards, crocodiles, nilgai. The safari drives were wonderful, especially the ones in the morning where we saw pretty sunrises with majestic panoramas. The food was delicious and very home style, served with warm hospitality. The rural setting was very soothing and a detox from city life. Ruturaj is a very knowledgeable naturalist and we learnt many interesting things.

Exceptional ....at all levels It truly is perfect ..the rooms are super clean, spacious and have 2 attached toilets ,which is definitely a luxury and a thoughtful addition, when the morning safari starts at 6am . The food is delicious and carefully planned at each meal...making sure you taste all the Rajasthani delights and absolutely homely . The staff are meticulously cater to your needs making sure you are comfortable . The meals by day are in the dining hall but by night around a fireplace under the sky in the open which is so we'll set up and lit . They do have to lug all the dishes extra out but manage all ours needs ...hospitality is caring and generous . Last but not the least iis Mr Ruturaj who was always attentive to are needs and was very informative .. we felt welcome anf special through our entire trip .. The safari was the best ever Mr Narayan and Mr Ruturaj excelled and made it interesting...we saw leopards, sloth bears, deers crocodiles .for us the sighting were super but the drives in the open Jeep over Rocky terrains and jungles were exceptional.we began to trust their judgement and felt safe too ...terrific driving . There are 2 safaris morning and evening safari included in the booking cost which is great ,unlike many of the other safari resorts that charge u extra ..a geniune feeling that they want you to have a great safari experience ... Ruturaj made sure you missed nothing and u leave fulfilled. Thank you Mr Ruturaj and your team .. We are extremely grateful for this experience and for a jungle safari experience to remember 🙏
