Pahalgam is an extremely beautiful place and Himalaya house was a good choice. The location of the hotel is great, river Lidder runs in full flow near the hotel, infact a part of it runs from below the hotel and snow capped mountains all around. The booking and check in was good. There is lawn with table ,chairs outside the hotel. The restaurant windows also face the mountains. My room was on first floor on the right side (think it was 101) just next to the restaurant. The room had balcony facing the beautiful mountains. The room was big with a bed, heating blanket , tv ,table and 2 chairs and windows facing the mountains. The room could have been cleaner. Bathroom was clean, should keep a mat ouside bathroom . The hotel had wifi. The food (both veg and non veg) was great, both days we…
This hotel is very nice to stay. good service as well from this hotel. they will have good restaurant for dinner and lunch. very nice people are work with restaurant and hotel himalay house it's was great place
This place is a little treasure. The staff are all friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. The food was excellent. There is an area at front with large lawn and tables to eat and have a drink that is very relaxing, with the snow capped mountains almost surrounding you. We had the good fortune of going for a walk thru the pine Forrest with Aijaz a trekking guide for the area who just happens to work at the hotel. He was telling us all about the different treks etc that you can organise thru the hotel and we were really wishing that we were better informed about what was on offer re activities in this area and would have allowed more time here. Aijaz and others at the hotel are all so enthusiastic about their home that you…
I and another 5 friends visited Kashmir from 27-Apr to 4-May 2018. It was an awesome 7D7N self-arranged trip. We did covered Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. We stay in this hotel from 30-Apr to 2-May 2018. Booking was done via Agoda. Overall review; - A small family run hotel by and above Lidder River with nice garden. - Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Mr Aijazz. - Simple and clean room with electric heater blanket to help us warm during cold night. - Buffet breakfast provided. Even though the foods not variety, it is enough for the guests. - You can bring your food and have it in the garden or by the river. - Reception manager, Mr Iqbal has not showing a welcoming attitude during my check in process. There is an issue where by booking via Agoda…
Just like the rest of Pahalgam, the Lidder river flows by the hotel as well and makes for an absoluetly delightful location. The sound of the river was like a miracle cure to our city woes! A bit away from the market area so perfect if you want a peaceful getaway. The rooms are very spacious, ours had a balcony. Having Kashmiri chai in the balcony, watching the river go by is a memory that stays back. The staff was friendly and made sure we have a great time, Ajaaz was super helpful and a great host . The food was delicious and very well prepared, we couldn't stop eating. Stay here for a wonderful experience in this paradise of a village!
Though the approach to the hotel is not so good but the property is so beautiful. Lidder river flows just below the hotel. View from the hotel is serene and beautiful and the river flow sounds are so audible even in the room. They have well maintained lawn with swings just so perfect for kids to run around and enjoy. Food is so yummy and yes they take little time as they prepare it fresh for tourists. Friendly staff mainly Ajaaz with timely service. One negative thing is rooms are small and not enough for 2 suitcases.
Amazing view Friendly staff Reasonable priced..(but directly visit the hotel and check the prices... Online might be a lil bit costly) A bit secluded from the main market place... But can enjoy the view of the hilly side of pehalgaum...
The Hotel is situated on the Lidder River. As the river splits, part of the Lidder River flows underneath the Hotel. The clear light blue river flows non-stop throughout the year. The rooms are tastefully designed and large. The food served is great Kashmiri cuisine. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Hotel is situated right in the village. You can go for an evening walk and strike a conversation with the locals
After a lot of contemplation I ended up booking this place . The road to reach the hotel is not great and by the looks of the reception I wasn't quite sure if my decision to stay here was good but I was proved wrong. When we reached, they upgraded our room, the best part of the upgrade was the view from our room (photo attached ) . there's a stream flowing beneath the room we were allotted, the sound of the water was like a lullaby and a treat to the ears(you will also catch a glimpse of the stream from the room) The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom ! Beautiful kashmiri linen and warm blankets were provided . The food was really good , we were asked to order in advance and the chef would prepare accordingly. The kashmiri kawah was a through disappointment, it was…
Kashmir is one of the most beautiful places on our earth! We are happy that we visited Pahalgam and could stay at the Himalaya House. We stay here for one week and did some trekking with the people how work at the Hotel. They are really welcoming and friendly. The hospitality is great! We been from the North to the south of India but we never met other people how where so kind. The rooms are big, clean and the food is really good. We stay in de low season and we where curious about the Kashmiri food. We had some small cooking classes from the Nepal chef and eat together. It was a nice experience and we will come back in the high season for some longer trekking and stay at the Hotel Himalaya House.
