It cannot be better located. It stands between the mountains, near the river, with beautiful cottages, but honestly the bathrooms had blocked drainage, no separate shower space or cabinet... the room was a mess after shower and the other person could not shower. The breakfast is anything close to even two star, and one needs to just manage.
This Resort deserves more than 5 stars. We arrived late on a cold, rainy afternoon and the owner gave us heating blankets immediately in a lovely cottage instead of the hotel room we booked. This perked our spirits up as we felt at home. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a view of the mountains.Throughout the duration of our stay, we were given impeccable service and great advice that made our vacation memorable. The owner even drove us to the bank for foreign currency exchange. Talk about going above and beyond. I happily recommend this wonderful Resort and will visit again next year.
I stayed in Pahalgam resorts, Chandanwari road for 2 days after booking through makemytrip(PNR: 0033545410,0033545410 Booking Id: NH2003180822114) from june2-4, 2018. I travelled with my family and relatives and booked 2 rooms with extra beds. My experience was horrible and painful contrary to my impression I made after online surveying hotels. Right after checking in hotel, I was given a room which was different/substandard than room I booked and displayed in my booking voucher. I told hotel reception, which they started defending . defending arguments were weird – online pictures are too old and now room designs have changed, other room are not there. Room offered to me was smaller in size, did not have water gyser, no hot water supply, TV was old type-cathode ray picture tube type, without cable connection. It was evening , and after days travel, nonavailibility of hot water make big convenience to whole family specially kids. I asked them, they continued to tell me that they have started hot water and will come in 10-20 minutes, which did not came even till 10 pm. I asked for a working cable connection, than hotel people promptly changed set top boxes to make It functional on picture tube TV rather than claimed LCD TV. I complained to makemytrip customer care, than they dialled some senior of hotel. And at 10 pm , some owner of hotel came, who tried to convince that rooms are same booked online. Lator on after few arguments, he showed actual room and offered to shift us there, which were like rooms displayed in booking voucher. Its quite troubling to shift in other with small kids and family in midnight. new rooms was also deficient in many amenities listed like no hot water kettle, missing window and no curtain in ground floor bathroom. They nailed a makeshift curtain in bathroom window immediately. and upon asking for prebooked extra bed, they demanded extra charges, which were left on complain to make my trip . And as a consolation, I was offered some pelty cashback vouchurby makemy trip, but pain and inconvenience suffered by me and family was more. During this room shifting , they asked by my identity proof for record purpose, which they never returned even after checkout. I dialled them hundred times, but I never got my DL back. They confessed that my driving licence is with them and they will post it. After calls for few days , they told that they have couriered that. Which I never received even after 2 months. No courier details never shared with me. When i look back and remember, it was a painful, horrible and deceptive experience. There was total lack of professionalism and customer care ethics on part of pahalgam resorts with predominance of substandard facilities, deception in providing facilities and amnesties to its customers.…
The property is located at an amazing spot with an outstanding view of the mountains and a stream flowing by. One can just not get enough of the views during sunrise and sunset. The local markets are at a walking distance. However, it lacks big time on services and maintenance. The rooms are small and bathrooms with chipping walls and unkempt doors and windows. There are cottages too but we stayed in a room of the main building. There is a long wait for even the simplest of jobs like ordering tea or even reaching out to the reception. The staff are indifferent to say the least. The food that was served was pretty ok.
