We stayed four nights here, using it as a jumping off point for various sites. The room was very nice. Big and spacey with a high ceiling and decent bathroom, the bed was big and comfortable and we had a terrace with tables and chairs to sit out. The first night we chose to eat in the hotel as we...

Spent one night here. Nice room with AC, very quiet. Wifi was hit and miss. Food was poor to average. Caretaker was pleasant. Hired a driver from here (Sarat(sp?)) for three days and he was excellent as a guide to the area and on wildlife - we would recommend him to others staying here. Great location for exploring the local...

Room was big and nice, charm, helpful staff. care taker was smart in advice... close to all nearby historical sites available.Excellent value for money. Considering it was off the main road it was set back and was surprisingly quiet.

Watch your head as you enter the bathroom! There is a step down from the bedroom into the bathroom and the door frame is low. Rooms are basic but spacious and clean. There is an air conditioner and an overhead fan. There is no hanging space but clothes can be draped over a rack. Breakfast provided. Certainly a central location.

Spent two nights here. Splendid location and ambience. Fruits are served fresh from the garden. We opted for vegetarian dinner and the food was excellent. Friendly and helpful housekeepers. Strongly recommended if you want to visit Habarana.

We were a group of 8 (three families), and stayed at Habarana for three nights. This is a small but excellent hotel. We booked directly from their website and did not have to pay any advance. The owner, Mr. Nalika, is a very friendly and knowledgeable person, and tried to help us in every way to plan our trips around...

We had two nights and this beautiful guesthouse. We were welcomed with fresh lime juice on arrival and the stay continued to get better from there. The room was exceptionally clean, bathroom a little outdated but still clean. We arrived late afternoon and were served a delicious rice and curry meal for dinner (ask for sambol if you like your...

We booked and paid in advance over their website and when we arrived they couldn't find our reservation and said it was impossible that we had paid via the website (claiming the website doesn't take bookings). They didn't want to look at our booking confirmation number and insisted that if we wanted to stay we would have to pay (again)....

How this place got the trip advisor reviews it got, I will never know. It's a decent-ish price and a step up from a hostel for sure but if you're a holiday goer I'd suggest checking out another high class hotel. It's positives mainly focus on its good location which is helpful for quick day trips to the surrounding sites....
