Opted for the Coach House which was included in their May deal and was very pleasantly surprised. Set away from the main hub of the hotel it's idyllic and peaceful with that extra element of being away from the main hustle. Book a Sunday in May at £159 - stayed in the middle Coach House (Alyn I think?) - there...

Doxford Hall Hotel & Spar is a luxury hotel near Chathill Northumberland and is very convenient to explore the Northumberland Coast including Seahouses and Bamburgh. Staff, Bedrooms and cleanliness were all of the highest order and of course meals in the Restaurant were absolutely superb.

Stayed for a week which seemed unusual for this hotel but they went out of their way to produce extra evening meals that we would like as it was a limited menu if staying more than a few days. The staff was very helpful and obliging nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel also has a spa we did not use. Location is a few minutes off the A 1 and offers access locally to Bamburgh, Farnes Berwick, Cragside and many prime...

This hotel is something of a 'hidden gem', the setting is so quiet and picturesque. We (a party of 4) stayed for 2 nights, but it is worth a visit just for lunch, or afternoon tea and a short walk round the grounds. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the quality of the food was very good....

The Hotel is 5 minutes East of the A1 north of Alnwick, it has a great setting and plenty of parking. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and peaceful. Breakfast is an enjoyable experience and The food at Dinner was good although the finer points of service are still work in progress.
