This hotel is 4.5 star and the quality of the people is 5 stars. There is always room for improvement of course. This is an older hotel that has no gambling related business, but it is the most elegant residential area in Macau, where old money is concentrated. The area includes large Portuguese - style homes, and is one block away from Sai Van lake and from Penha church, an icon in Macau. It is located in extraordinary Penha area. We were able to experience the Chinese New Year in Macau and the view and closeness to Sai Van lake allowed us to enjoy the fireworks show. I am including several photographs of these places. If you are not interested in gambling, this is an interesting experience. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we remained as guests for an extended period of time. My special thanks to all employees, especially the hotel manager, front desk staff Judy, Nina and Oscar for their endless kindness.

I booked via Booking.com on the 26th December for a room for 8 nights from 29th December. I messaged the hotel then as well - no reply. After travelling form UK to Macau, the hotel reception refused my acocmodation as i had a Yellow Health code. Note: the Macau government has stated all hotels can accept Yellow and Red Health code. so this was a personal choice. They then tried to blame for for booking it and asked why didn't I contact them in advance. When i pointed out they hadn't answered my messages they tried to stop the conversation. They requested i cancel the booking and i said no, i will not pay the cancellation fees, that they would need to cancel it, They also tried to avoid this, but once i called Booking.com the english speaking manager cancelled my booking and left. The other staff did, in fairness, try to help me find other accomodation but struggled to get a definite "yes they have space and will accept a Yellow code". I did say until I had a confirmed place with a hotel I wasn't going to leave reception and be bounced around hotel to hotel after 24hours of traveling. What annoys me most of this, they were happy to accept my money and book the room but failed to uphold contact/messaging. I can accept they didn't want to have Yellow/Red Health code travellers - but that should have been listed and identified - or asked after my message. I am now in the IHG Holiday Inn in Macau and it is much more supportative.

The hotel was old and clean. Our room is huge and we love it. Their staff was amazing at that time we even check in right away they did not ask for my booking reservation the staff looked just my passport and ask how many people will stay since we book a family room, also when we did our check out we just wait for a couple of minutes and were good to go.The scenery was spectacular at night and in the morning. Maybe we'll comeback next time we did enjoy our stay. Thank you.

The room itself is quite small but still quite well maintained. We had a good time as well as nighty sleep too. The genuine credit goes to the housekeeping staff who provide excellent service for us during our stay. Everything was exceptional in my stay. Very good manner with smiles all the way. AWESOME! FANTASTIC!! HAPPY!!! See you Soon again

This hotel had the audacity to barge in our rooms and check our bathrooms for people head count. And demanded we leave the premises at 10 for over populating the room. We booked a HOTEL CONNECTING ROOM and were forced to book another CONNECTING ROOM. (Some of our friends didn’t even sleep over they just came to eat) Patronizing us because we were filipinos (we are residents) and continued to bully us when we came back from a walk. RUDE HOSPITALITY WORST HOTEL save yourself your moneys and go somewhere else!!!!

Due to insufficient English speaking ability, it was not communicated clearly that breakfast buffet tickets need to be purchased the night before to get the discounted rates. As if not bad enough, we went in at 8.45am for a buffet that is due to close at 10.30am to find the following as per the photos. All spring rolls gone, no scrambled eggs, wedges almost empty and bits of bacon soaking in oil. Unacceptable.

Upon checking in they couldn’t find our reservation. I saw it in a stack of papers and they wouldn’t look. Got our rooms, WiFi doesn’t work, and nobody could tell us where parking was (it’s free but they didn’t know this until someone in management came down). Breakfast didn’t start till 730 so couldn’t eat as we had a meeting to get to. Before we left we saw a huge rat run across the breakfast area as well. Do. Not. Stay. Here!

This is an old hotel which was refurbished a few years ago. Despite the effort, the hotel is already showing signs of wear and tear, e.g. the paint on the edges of chairs and tables is wearing off. The room itself was of average size, but it offered an impeccable view of the Macau Tower and the Sai Van Lake. Basic amenities were available, just like other typical Macau hotels. While the hotel is located up a hill, there is a free shuttle from the ferry terminal. It does not come too frequently unfortunately. In a city like Macau which is full of overpriced hotels, at least this hotel was more affordable. The quality is therefore also just mediocre.
