Too good a resort on the small island. Located in the north side of the Gili T .. right opposite to a beautiful beach with hardly any maddening crowd. We also did some snorkeling on the beach and were lucky to spot some color fish A fantastic resort with rooms (villas actually) spread across the property.. super clean rooms with a seating area inside as well as outside the room . An open bath which was extra spacious with all toiletries provided. The room also had a separate dressing area with a large mirror and a wardrobe Extremely courteous staff who will ensure your stay is perfect . Breakfast was served in the restaurant right at the entrance overlooking the beach .. set menu breakfast but we did have quite a few options to choose from . The restaurant also serves some amazingly delicious local cuisine which is a must try .. This is the place to stay if you are looking to stay a little away for the crowd and noise

We absolutely loved our stay in the Pool Villa at Wilson’s Retreat! The rooms and the pool were great and the staff and this island were amazing!!! Riding bikes around the island, swimming with turtles, horse and carriage to and from your hotel and more. The customer service at this small boutique resort is beyond what we have experienced in all our years of travel. The location is away from the main harbour so it is so peaceful and quiet but only a short bike ride or horse and cart ride to the harbour. We cycled around the island most days with a drink break half way. We will definitely be back and tell everyone about this magical place Thanks Jas, Geeta and all the team! Perfect spot on the quieter side of the island. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of Gili T, go somewhere else. Location is perfectly close to walk or ride anywhere on the island. The staff are amazing, and the setting is great.
As mentioned lots of bugs in the rainy season, but even there the resort does it's best to help alleviate that problem. Bug spray available in your room and at the dining areas. They put mosquito netting in our room, as well as lit citronella in our villa area.
Food is good at the restaurant and the prices aren't out of alignment with other options...so not too much reason to leave in any case.

Absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Wilson’s located at an idyllic point on Gilli T. Staff were great and very welcoming, breakfast served on the beach was fab and we have 0 complaints about our room or anything else. We chose this hotel specifically for the close location to be able to easily go on our own and snorkel with turtles and that absolutely did not disappoint!! Getting up early and going into a sea full of green turtles is the stuff dreams are made of and for a sea loving person like me it was fantastic. Wish we could have stayed longer, can’t wait to go back. Loved the sunsets and close location to lots of other places to eat and drink. We went diving with a company 5 min walk away which was really handy too! Thanks Wilson’s, gem of a hotel!

We stayed a week at Wilson’s and were very happy with our choice of accommodation. We had the Muri suite which was spacious, clean & had nice decor. The air conditioning worked well, the bed was comfortable & the curtains are blockout which made for a good night sleep. The open air bathroom was large and lovely. The location was perfect for us. On the quieter side of the island but an easy bike ride in to the harbour side for shops, atm, massages etc. Bike rental was organised by staff. The beach was lovely and we were able to snorkel directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful. We ended up eating at the restaurant most nights as we could sit directly on the beach. The food was good and flavoursome. As others have said the real asset is the staff. From first contact via watsap Jasman was helpful in organising our transfers from Bali. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome from staff. Special mentions to Gita, Zahira, Eppy who were always there to greet us with a smile & a laugh. If I had to pick one down side it would be that the pool area needs a bit of TLC. We only swam in the pool once as it didn’t feel clean. (We were happy to swim in the ocean anyway ) Lounges not very comfortable. I know they were affected by the earthquake in 2018 and are doing some renovations so am hoping the pool area is on the list. Thankyou staff of Wilson’s for a lovely holiday & we will be back!

The staff at Wilson’s make this a special place, so welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Manup, Jas, Eppy & Geta but not forgetting the rest of the staff- everyone was fantastic so we extended our stay to 8 days. Location is incredible, we saw a turtle within 10 mins of snorkelling off their beach. It’s on the quieter side of the island which suited us perfectly. We loved eating and having cocktails on the beach, whilst protected with natural shade from trees. Breakfast variety was good with something for everyone. Such a relaxed island vibe, we look forward to returning!
The only slight minus was the mosquitos, although we did go in rainy season so to be expected.

the rooms are very nice, the employees are also very friendly, overall a wonderfull stay. the beach view is very clear with a view of sunrise and sunset in both east and west. free to rent a canoe, snorkeling gear and bicycle to explore gili trawangan. definitely will be back in the future😊

The bungalows all have pretty outside secluded bathrooms, they also supply very nice shampoo and shower gel. And also aftersun body lotion, which I've never seen in other hotels. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. A very peaceful place. They have plenty of beds on the beach and around the pool, so none of that silly towel reserving. The food was good too and there are enough local restaurants within walking distance for choice. The beach is soft sand but very rocky as you go out, so water shoes are a must. Turtles come in to the shallows early in the morning which is a treat and a boat trip guarantees seeing them and isn't expensive. If you suffer with a bad back the gilis isn't the best destination for you as you are transported from port in a pony and trap, which can be very bumpy.

Stayed here for 5 nights in March and it was easily the nicest place I've ever stayed in my two trips too Gili T and the many trips to Indonesia. Assistance with transfers from Sengiggi was seamless. The staff were really just beautiful people who truly made us feel welcome. Greeting us every night on our way in with a cheery "Welcome Home" Spacious & clean rooms on the quiet part of the island. Beautiful seafront area to sit and eat breakfast or have dinner or just drinks at night. The food was exceptional, no complaints at all, good breakfast and great coffee. Truly was a very relaxing stay and we will definitely be back. Thanks Jas & Yudah for a great stay.

We had the best time at Wilson’s retreat in our two bedroom villa. The staff was incredible and food was delicious-highly recommend the beef rendang and as well as the watermelon juice from the restaurant. The “trainee” staff member who worked and was a waiter the first few days of our stay was especially upbeat and wonderful to see each day. I wish I got his name because his service was outstanding and made the stay go that extra mile. It was quiet and very relaxing each day at the beach. Also some of the best snorkeling we did in Indonesia was less that 100m away and you could rent gear on location at the hotel. We will be back!

You can rent bikes cheaply from the hotel and be anywhere in ten to twenty minutes m. Several in walking distance as well. $2-4 a bottle and sometimes cheaper during happy hour.

Its our responsibility and priority to keep our current and future guests safe. Let me share some information with you- Gili Trawangan is open for tourists by governmental authorities. We have all necessary facilities working smoothly-electricity,water,mobile connection,internet. The transportation to and from Gili operates with no interruptions (speed boats from Bali,Lombok). Airports and trusted airlines operate aircrafts with no interruptions. Gili Trawangan central (which is a distance away from Wilsons Retreat) is on recovery and will start operations fully from 1st September. Anyway few restaurants, bars, shops and dive centers are already in operation.
Special police force is stationed on Gili Trawangan to provide additional level of safety.
Wilsons retreat declaring no damages after earthquakes we operate daily and will be happy to greet you!
