Experience 10. Starting with the location of the hotel: fantastic, in the West Zone away from the hustle and bustle if you want to be quiet but can reach nearby restaurants by bicycle. The sunset from there is incredible. You can drink very good cocktails from their infinity pool or lie in the Balinese bed. The restaurant's food is very good at an affordable price, thanks to Roki and the entire exceptional team for their great attention, delicacy and always with a smile. The hotel is spectacular, the rooms are incredible, some with direct access to the pool, it is a gift to bathe in the warm water and in absolute tranquility. We were surprised that for the vegetation there is, there are no insects, we saw the staff fumigating. It is appreciated since the bathroom is outdoors, with hot water and watching the stars without mosquitoes or ants. Many days they have live music while you dine in the restaurant or by the pool. They offer many activities and are ALWAYS willing to help you with everything. Without a doubt to recommend and live a few days of luxury vacation.

Gili Trawangan is the highlight of our trip to Indonesia. Such crystal clear blue waters with golden sands ... Kardia Resort is the icing on the cake. From the moment our boat docked in the harbor, we were greeted with smiles. Our group of 9 were picked up by the staff from Kardia Resort, they were wearing their uniforms and they took our luggages and arrange the ride to the resort. Kardia is just a short 15 minutes ride on a horse drawn carriage (Cidomo) through the only main street in Gili. What a delightful experience. No cars or motorcycles, getting away from the bustles of Bali. It truly is an island paradise. The quiet resort, the perfect location to view the spectacular sunset while enjoying our evening meal, the food from breakfast to dinner was amazing and the bar was a delight to drink in, the pleasant and accommodating staff, the lively fire dance show, the graceful Balinese dance, the nightly entertainment provided by a musician was excellent, the multiple pools and gazebos, the spa for a tired body after snorkeling all day and on and on. We will definitely come back ....

We would like to thank the entire team of the Kardia Hotel for the warm welcome and respectful attitude towards our guests. All the employees are stylishly dressed and neat looking, very polite and friendly, which was incredibly pleasant. The hotel became a real home for us during our three-week vacation and we loved everything there, including delicious and varied breakfasts and evening barbecues. I really liked the green, well-kept area of the hotel with separate bungalow houses and especially the rooms with access to the pool, one of which we lived in. These rooms are very convenient if it rains all day. You can stay in your room and swim from morning to evening, ordering food to your room, including an exotic breakfast on a huge tray directly into the pool. The rooms have high wooden ceilings and doors, very stylish in white and turquoise tones. A bathroom with an open top on the sides, where when taking a shower, you seem to be alone with nature, surrounded by beautiful trees and birdsong. Each room has its own terrace with a cute, wonderful sofa where you can relax while enjoying reading and beautiful views of exotic palms and flower trees. Every evening in the restaurant on the embankment there is live music with invited musicians, fire shows and shows of local traditional costumed dances are organized under the smells of barbecue. We will be happy to go to this wonderful stylish hotel again and recommend it to everyone who likes to spend their holidays with pleasure. Its location is 10 minutes away from the central part of the island, if you have a bicycle at hand, which you can easily rent right there at the hotel. Sunsets are a tradition on the island and the Kardia Hotel is in a wonderful position, offering magnificent views of the setting sun and gracefully galloping horse riders. Once again we thank the entire team of the Kardia Hotel, see you again!

The Kardia has really beautiful rooms, bright, clean, lovingly furnished, coffee making facilities, a beautiful open bathroom and everything can be controlled electronically. Light wood colors with turquoise accents complete the profile. The rather small pool is located directly on the promenade, opposite a brick sunset area that was built in front of the sea. In between there is a road on which there is activity all day long, from pony carriages to cyclists, but this is not a problem. On the wall facing the sea, beanbags are set up for cocktail guests at sunset. There is no direct beach location, if you want to go into the sea instead of the pool, you can rent a bike and ride a little further, where you can go straight into the sea across the white sandy beach. However, as these are public areas, you should not take anything with you that would otherwise be lying unguarded on the beach. That's about the end of the positive aspects. The service was no more than average, meals ordered together were so far apart that one person was already finished by the time the other got theirs. For breakfast, you can choose a set meal from three categories. If you're expecting spicy Indonesian cuisine, you've come to the wrong island - American fast food or pizza, pasta, burgers, all unseasoned, of poor quality and at excessive prices (this applies to the whole island). I stuck to the fruit platter, nothing could go wrong. During a 3-day stay, orders were often carried out incorrectly or, when ordered together, were so far apart that it was impossible to eat together. Our conclusion: a very nice hotel with a focus on selling cocktails and party guests, the rest is an annoying accessory. It's a shame, because it has potential. As for the island of Trawangan itself: never again; drugs, dirt, mistreated ponies working hard all day in the blazing sun without water (the only means of transport on the island), I'd rather spend my money somewhere else.

This place is perfect in every way! The room was really well appointed, with a comfy bed, gorgeous semi outdoor bathroom with a rain shower (with good water pressure!), and a view straight out to the ocean. The place was really clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. Drinks and food at the main restaurant area were really good, even though it was a little pricey in comparison to some of the other neighbouring bars - the view, the quality of the food/drinks and the service is second to none. The main pool looks directly out to the ocean and there are bean bags on the sand where you can sip on a cocktail or a Bintang and watch the sunset directly in front of you - it’s honestly magical. Kardia is about 3km from the central area of Gili T next to the harbour, but the resort provides free bikes for you to use whenever you like, and it’s amazing riding along the beach road taking in all that Gili T has to offer. We would highly recommend staying here and know we’ll be back again soon - we’re still reminiscing about this place! 11/10! Special mention to Rudy, Mayo and the rest of the staff who made our stay so wonderful.

Just stayed at Kardia with my family. While there were a number of positives, there were also some aspects that need improvement.
Positives: Good location away from the port so quieter and more relaxed experience, yet still plenty of restaurants and places to grab a drink around.
Guest rooms were as expected and generally quite nice, outside bathroom spacious. Good balcony to sit on and enjoy the live music from the restaurant.
Service and friendliness of the staff was also mostly good.
Opportunities for Improvement 1. Communication on use of hotel facilities. I booked direct with the hotel opting for an ocean view room rather than pool access room as I was looking for more privacy. It was not clear on the hotel website or during the booking process that only the pool access rooms would be able to use the lagoon pool. The pool which looked quite large and good for the kids was one reason to book the hotel. Upon explaining this to the staff, they acknowledged the lack of clarity but would still not allow us to use the pool. The way they handled it left us feeling disappointed from the moment we checked in. We even asked if we could move to the pool access room type but unfortunately it was also now booked out so we couldn’t even change to it. The main pool is very small so we didn’t really use it. Luckily we were able to use the facilities at an other hotel 10 min walk away that had a fabulous pool (as we consumed food and beverage from their restaurant).
2. Food Quality & Communication in Restaurant
We ate breakfast daily in the hotel as it was included in the room rate. It was ala carte with plenty of choice but food quality was quite poor and the hot food consistently came out cold every time. We also ate dinner once and it was the same problem so we didn’t go back again.
On our last day, on attempting to order coffee with our breakfast we were told it was not possible to have a white coffee as there was no milk. As we continued to eat, we saw other tables getting served cappuccino. Upon questioning the staff they told us those orders used the last milk, however those guests arrived and ordered after us. Finally they agreed to give us one coffee only despite the package we booked entitling us to 4 coffees (1 per guest). In the meantime we continued to observe other tables where they were served multiple coffees after the milk had supposedly run out.

What drew me to this property were previous reviews mentioning the staff and management interaction, something which can make or break a stay. And I wasn't disappointed.
Arriving on a foreign island with a minefield of options, I quickly concluded there was no contest, Kardia is the only place I recommend anyone stay on Trawangan. From the arrival, to the design, the layout, the finishes, the touches, all beyond compare. It is new yes, and upkeep will need to be maintained, exposed to all matter of weather elements becoming of an ocean front property, but everything worked, functioned and made the stay remarkable.
From the happy hour to food quality, (not the cheapest, but then you have a backdrop that few do on the island, and service to support), the grounds, housekeeping, amenities, all top notch. I extended for an extra night and was glad to do so, with live music every evening (at times the manager even strummed out a few sets and requests too).
Being on the 'sunset' side of the island, little traffic and noise was apparent as it is closer to the harbour arrival. It all culminated in the best accommodation so far on holiday.
The team also assisted with a snorkeling trip and onward travel recommendations as well as transfers from the harbour at Lombok, and I was so grateful for this assistance.
Thanks to Rudy and his team for a wonderful three nights on Trawangan, there is really no-where else I would recommend to stay but KARDIA!

We have visited Gili T several times. We are lucky to find this brand new beach front resort in our last visit. When we were there, they have not really fully opened yet. But our 3 day stay there was really amazing. The beatiful pool with planter in the middle of the pool facing the sea and sunset is our most favorite spot.
The room is well designed with sea life details with super cozy bed. The outdoor shower with the garden is so sexy.
We love the eco friendliness of the resort, they use solar water heaters, recycle water system for the garden watering and use of no or less plastics.
Last but not least, the food is awesome.
We will definitely come back again to Kardia next time we visit Gili T.

Very well-stocked hotel, central location convenient to both the port (15 min on horseback) and halfway between excellent restaurants, bars and beaches. We stayed in November in low season, few people. Perfect climate and excellent prices. The hotel has a very good singer who does acoustic pop/country every night and the staff are very kind. Restaurant 6.5/10 could be improved in offer, quality and service, other restaurants offer better service. Pool Villa 10/10 Room, bathroom and swimming pool as soon as you open the window with spectacular nature around, they are worth the price of the ticket

I loved my stay at Kardia. I was originally booked into a property down the road, but checked out early as it wasn’t very pleasant. I was so lucky to stumble on this gem! Of course the rooms are all fresh and beautifully appointed right through to the outdoor bathroom space. The staff are eager to please and there are plenty of them. There were a few minor issues (which comes with a new property as they tweak things), but all this was addressed promptly & efficiently. The staff are honestly amazing and a particular thanks goes to Jho (at reception) who went out of his way on many occasions and even posted my earphones back to the mainland. What an asset to this hotel, thank you! The food was delicious (breakfast scrumptious), the pool stunning… the perfect temperature, overlooking the water and the sun lounge and chairs so comfy. Honestly, do yourself a favour & book this beautiful property, you won’t be disappointed.
