We really enjoyed our stay here. Our bungalow was cute and we had an outdoor bathroom, which in the heat is a great idea. 2 minor things though, the TV is in a location that is not really visible thru the mosquito nets (but who goes there to watch TV) and the AC is above the bed making it slightly uncomfortable as it blows cold air directly onto you rather than simply cooling the room. The beach is beautiful but not ideal for swimming because of rocks and coral so make sure you have sandals or flip flops that are suitable for going into the sea. It's near the sunset bars to the west of the island so great for sundowners. The pool is lovely with a bar and loungers. Free bikes and snorkeling gear are available BUT beware of an attempt to charge you for damaged gear that you didn't damage. I was given torn flippers which I used and returned, and all seemed ok. At checkout I was told that I was given flippers with a little tear but returned them with a bigger tear and now need to pay 500k rupiah. I refused as a. such issues should be raised when I returned the gear and b. if it's defective they shouldn't be handing it out to guests. They agreed not to charge but it soured what was a great stay and it's a shame.

We spent five days on Gili Trawangan and found this gem of an estate. It's perfectly located on the best side of the island, not far from anything. The area is very quiet and relaxing with the ocean directly in front of you. The property is immaculately groomed and the bungalows are very clean and stylishly decorated with so much attention to detail. We would definitely recommend the spacious garden bungalows which are well worth the extra price. The whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Hery who is the front office manager was extremely accommodating and cared about our whole stay from where to go on the island to providing snorkeling gear to swim with the sea turtles. Yudha helped us with everything from A to Z and always had a happy, smiling face which made our stay that much special. If you are looking for a place to escape and to relax in paradise, we most definitely recommend Pondok Santi Estate and will come back again at the next opportunity..

Pondok Santi Estate is a DREAM RESORT. Everything is just perfect from its amazing prime location on the best white sand beach in Trawagan, the estate is extremely beautifoul and bountiful and super well maintained. Its a real paradise!! The entire staff is absolutly adorable and get out of their ways to please their guets. The food is great, the cocktails are made with prime brands, wine is super fine .. They will even lend you cool bikes to go around the island, snorkling and paddle gears. prices are super correct in comparaison with the services and high standards you get. Me and my family cannot wait to go back next year. The only hing we will change is to make sure we spend more days at Pondok Santi as clearly 3 days were not enough. Gili T was sadly depressing due to the effects of Covid but Pondok Santi was still very much alive and faring well. The villas are very nice and private. The location is also close enough to the more lively parts of the island but still secluded enough to avoid heavy traffic or noise. They told us when we arrived that the pizza was the best on the island, which we were skeptical about, but it turned out to be really great pizza. Breakfast delivery to your villa is also very nice. We also got to grab the bikes whenever we needed them and the hotel also provided snorkeling gear. We loved this place and are eager to visit again some day.

This is my second visit to Pondok Santi. This is by far the best hotel in Gili but you do pay for a more private and boutique style resort, the grounds are large and do not feel overcrowded. The service is excellent I would like to thank Ahyar who looked after us at check in and throughout the stay. The beach is very good in front of the hotel there is some broken coral but it’s the best strip of beach in gili with hotel access. The sunset sets in view on the hotel beach so massive bonus there. Thanks to the food and beverage team the beach food and room service etc is top notch with good selection, the burgers can be improved I feel and also the breakfast can be improved. The pool is good but a second pool closer to the beach would be welcomed they have the space to do this. This is slightly more expensive than other high end hotels on the island but this one wins we have our daughter and she loved the place they even had fire entertainment one night which was a win also bike hire for free with kids seats! Other than that it’s amazing will be returning for sure. Thanks again everyone.

We were a family of three adults staying in a Garden bungalow. The estate is very quiet, far enough away from the busy Gilli T strip but close enough if you wanted some nightlife. The bungalow was absolutely beautiful, new, clean and comfortable. We had an outside shower which was not an issue as the weather was warm and the back gardeners very private. Lovely pool and best beach area to swim. and the staff could not do enough for you. Special mention to Uda and Sulendra for friendly service. Free bikes were a great way to get around the island. Would thoroughly recommend and we will be back to stay there again next year.

This hotel was incredible, the staff were wonderful and their service exceptional. They knew each of us by name almost immediately. Breakfast was great, we requested the welcome smoothie most mornings which was very yummy and there were lots of choice for food. I'm also gluten intolerant and they had GF bread for me and were really helpful about making sure they adapted my food. Evening meals were good, we sat down by the beach with the breeze. Bikes are available to cycle around the island. We were staying in a family suite for 3 nights and it was amazing, it was so big and spotlessly clean and the outside bathroom was very novel. Not flashy but elegant and genuinely wish I'd been able to stay for longer. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I find myself on Gili T again. Also, the hotel arranged yoga for us and a lovely lady came and gave us private lessons in the afternoon, nice to have one-to-one instruction and not expensive. We also dived most mornings with Gili Divers, saw heaps of turtles, several blacks and white tip reef sharks and lots of stingrays, as well as, colourful coral and lots of fish.

This is 100% the best hotel on Gilli T. 5 star! They have everything you need, from amazing private villas with your own garden and outdoor showers (which have amazing temperature and pressure) to perfect aircon and fans! The beds are so comfortable, the whole room Is decorated in wooden Balinese furniture which makes you not even want to leave your room! They were able to provide us our own bikes, a private boat for a day which took us island hopping and snorkelling and surfing and morning yoga. All great prices and value. To top it off it was my boyfriends birthday and they made it so special by coming to our villa with drums and singing happy birthday and bringing a cake and decorating a beautiful table under the stars with candles and flowers for dinner. Would not stay anywhere else and will be back next year! Thank you to Jo and Muzza, Robi and Ayhar Your service and smiles were so welcoming. Will be back soon for sure! Jules and Sam :)

When you imagine a tropical get-away you dream of something that pretty much resembles what Pondok Santi delivers. A modern take on the traditional thatched huts, spacious well maintained grounds, clean beach frontage, a relaxed vibe and a large team of staff doing their best to deliver a wonderful holiday experience.
We've watched this property evolve over the past 5 or so years and believe they are very much on-track with delivering what so many others fail to. Whilst they do have plenty of space for further expansion (they have around just 18 villas at present) I do hope they never lose the wonderful feeling of green open space that pretty much makes this property unique on Gili T.
We stayed for 6 nights in a pool villa and thoroughly enjoyed every minute and every aspect of it.
Thanks to all the Pondok team for delivering a memorable holiday. We look forward to returning in the future.

The people: From the moment we arrived at the Pondok Santi Estate we were greeted with friendly faces and helping hands. Every single one of the staff at the property went above and beyond for the duration of the stay. Always smiling, always attentive. They all love to stop for a chat and catch up on the day you’ve had. It makes this place feel like a home away from home.
The place: A tropical paradise. The rooms are huts equipped with a beautiful private patio with an outdoor shower, bathroom and sun beds. The interior includes the bed (like sleeping on a cloud), a sofa, fridge and freezer, safe, tv, air-con and a large curtain mosquito net that you can pull around the bed.
The facilities were all stunning, clean, thoughtful (water outside front and back of the room for washing feet). We also had complimentary bicycles which were helpful for getting around the island quickly.
The gardens surrounding the property were very well manicured and there is an abundance of beautiful wild life to see roaming the property, including three resident ducks.
The beach to the front of the property is unlike anywhere else on the island. You can chose to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner on the sand in front of the tropical blue water. There are comfortable loungers and beds if you feel like sunbathing or having a nap. It has a reef that goes out about 200 meters. The hotel provides free goggles, snorkels and flippers so you can enjoy swimming with the fish and turtles.
The food: You have a long list of options breakfast. We had a different type of juice or smoothie every morning with omelettes, muesli, granola, amazing coffee, ginger tea, and most of the food is from the estate’s own garden.
The lunch and dinner options were fantastic and what we tried was some of the best food we’ve had on the entire trip. We tried the fish tacos, the Mediterranean platter, pizza and the snapper from their bbq.
This is the first time in my life the I can say there was nothing I would change about the trip.
