Clean spacious rooms with great views. Beautiful private pool set in pine woods. 2 min walk to gorgeous beach. Friendly accommodating staff. Excellent food. Will definitely be coming back. Perfect for a few days of relaxing. Thank you
I booked this hotel through booking.com along with my friends to run the Ibiza 12k and it was lovely at a reasonable price of £207! The first night was paid in May 17 upfront however Carlos has taken the full amount from my account in April 18 and despite trying to make contact through facebook, whatsapp, booking.com to request my £50 to be refund no response whatsover - be wary!
The room and bathroom smelt musky, we had a mountain, farm-land view from our balcony. The hostel looked like the photos but once arriving you could see all the details of the place being worn down. The receptionist was about to leave when we arrived so hurried us through. The internet wasn't working and the system was slow so she didn't even know who we were and how much we were meant to pay. We had to tell her. Our room was clean however and this was appreciated. The couple that we meant i presume ran the place and seemed off their feet with the restaurant which we didn't eat at but i'm sure would have had tasty food. The pool/garden area was a good 5 minutes walk from the hostel and in fairness had a nice enough pool with a spectacular view as it was situated at the top of a cliff it seemed. Had seating areas and what not with a nice horse which seemed a bit bored. I wouldn't stay again and pay the same price - not sure why other people think its such good value for me. We stayed in 5 other places around the island for less and got the same if not better accommodation.…
Nice clean hotel, right on the beachfront - the beach itself is small and quiet, too. There's a really nice pool area just a few minutes walk away from the hotel, great for relaxing and sunbathing as well as playing in the pool. The hotel is great value for money. However it's very isolated from other beaches and towns, let alone the rest of the island, so have a think about transport in advance. It's definitely worth hiring a car if you're staying here so you can access other restaurants and beaches. We stayed just before high-season began, so we may have had a different experience to others, but the food service at the hotel was excruciatingly slow at times. Luckily we weren't in a rush, but we didn't eat at the hotel for any lunch/dinner service for the whole week due to the speed.…
Can't believe this hotel only has one star! It was very adequate indeed, at 30euro each a night, fantastic value, nice friendly family business next to a lovely beach. Owners gave us delicious food after the restaurant closed (and cocktails) and were very laid-back. Didn't use or see the pool, but would definitely stay here again and use as a base for another stay in Ibiza if I was on a budget.
Basic but clean. Helpful staff. Lovely location. Ideal for people who appreciate the quite life. If nightlife is your thing then you may be better in a more built-up area. Three restaurants in cala boix and the hostel. There is also a beach bar.
We stayed at Hostal Cala Boix 4 nights with half board. We liked that hotel is outside other tourist crowded places next to beatiful Cala Boix. There's no buffet breakfast, but you can order anything you want. For the dinner you can order various meats or fish. Drinks were not included in the half board dinner. The staff is really funny, especially young boy who served us in the evenings and the lady who serves breakfast, be prepared for them :-) Room was cleaned every day, with new towels. Furniture was new. We didn't visit swimming pool as we like to stay on the beach more.
excellent place if your looking for a relaxing holiday, staff are fantastic and there is a lovely place that belongs to hostal cala boix round the corner a big chill out area with pool, bamboo bed, hammocks, wigwams and sun loungers , oh and not forgetting the 2 horses lucero and morena. will be returning next year for sure.
What a place!!!! I came here for a few days to chill out after the madness of the clubs...ended up leaving 3 weeks later. Amazing part of the island, beautiful beaches and countryside but the real pull here is Carlos, Xavi and the chilled out vibe they operate. Nothing too much trouble, rooms cleaned daily and spotless, food is great especially the bbq cooked by Carlos senior. Can't wait to return....nice one Carlos! James & Kirsty
My wife and I were looking for a place to completely escape and relax - and we certainly found it here! The hostel was friendly and welcoming right from the start, the rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Our room at the rear had beautiful views across the fields to the sea on the horizon. Quite thin walls if you had noisy neighbours. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the place has a relaxing informal and family feel. Food was of a very good standard and much cheaper than the local competition - we ate here most nights. The swimming pool is a short walk up the road, set in a pretty garden right on top of a cliff with stunning views down to the sea - quite often you could be the only people at the pool, it felt like it was your own private retreat. The area is a bit remote - a car is recommended, although they offered free use of good mountain bikes and there are plenty of nice walks nearby to a number of beautiful and secluded bays. (To get there we took the bus from Ibiza town to Es Cana and then got a taxi from there for about €15) Cala Boix beach itself is quite small but not too busy in early June, and lovely to swim in. It's found less than a minute's walk from the hostel down a steep-ish path. On days when the sea was rougher, ten minutes walk across the fields took you to another sheltered coast where you could swim from the pontoons they launch boats from. A great place for families or couples, highly recommended.…
