We have just returned from our second visit to the splendid Villa Costa boutique hotel in beautiful Skala. Before extolling the qualities of this charming hotel, we must respond to the somewhat pompous review posted on Trip Advisor on 16 July. In some respects, we would agree with the contributor that the evening cuisine was occasionally disappointing and it certainly...

We had an amazing and relaxing week at Villa Costa ( apart from a couple of guests who made you ashamed to be British!..you know who you are!) Mario and team did a great job and made our holiday one to remember. We are back next year Mario in July with Andy/Mandy hopefully so make sure the bar is stocked...

The hotel is in pleasant grounds. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are small and basic. The bed linen was good but the towels had holes and were fraying. The atmosphere is totally dependant on the other few guests. Our first week was horrendous.Several returners who talked throughout every mealHigh pitched squeals, laughter etc.Privacy is at a low premium, even on your balcony. The second...

This was our third visit to Villa Costa and I really can not recommend it highly enough. From the moment you step out of the taxi at the hotel gates you know that you are on holiday and that you can simply relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings. Villa Costa is an eight roomed hotel set on the beach road...

This was our first visit to Kefalonia and we chose to stay at the Villa Costa in Skala, mainly due to the fantastic reviews that we had read. We were not dissapointed! We were greeted on arrival by the villa owner Mario, who took us to our room through the beautifully manicured grounds. We stayed in the Nausicaa, which is...

This was our 5th visit to Villa Costa and as always we returned home feeling totally relaxed and recharged. The hotel is set over the road from Skala beach with lovely sea and mountain views. The garden is impeccable, colourful flowers and a neatly cut lawn lead you to the hotel itself. We stayed in the new Chloe room which...

Fantastic location, beautiful grounds and accommodation, fantastic host and staff. All in all an incredibly relaxing time. Came here last Summer for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and almost immediately booked for a return trip this year. The wine tasting evening hosted by the owner Mario was informative, enjoyable and a good way to interact with the other guests (only 8...

It did not disappoint in any way whatsoever. We loved our stay. Mario greeted us as old friends and we even had Easter Lunch with the family. We were made to feel very special. The new chef was fantastic. Wonderful food as usual. Understated and wonderful 5 Star service. We will be returning next year! A great place for a honeymoon...

We would bear out what everyone else has said about Villa Costa, everything was excellent - service, cleanliness, position. We also stayed in "Chloe" which was a beautiful, simply furnished, suite of rooms (bedroom, bathroom, sitting-room, large balcony). We plan to go earlier in the year next time as we found that going in October meant that everything around was...

Just returned from Villa Costa. In a word, Perfection. From the moment Mario greeted us and escorted us to our room we felt completely at home. The hotel and it's immaculate gardens are perfectly placed opposite the beach. Our room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay and, oh my, the food. Best described as fine dining every evening (thank...
