Absolutely loved this hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy and contained everything we needed. They were cleaned daily and we were provided with new towels daily. The staff were very nice and very helpful. We went half board and the food was amazing. We didn't eat out once as we looked forward to the evening meals. Breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of choice. On the first night we asked for pasta with no sauce as my daughter is a fussy eater, and they didn't have any, but every night after that there was a large dish of plain pasta out. Lovely location. We loved walking down towards Skala in the evenings after supper, to see the wild mountain goats. The kids loved this. Skala was a 40 minute walk, but the hotel shuttlebus could be booked and was very efficient. A taxi cost E6. Lovely views and a fab little coves opposite where we went snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. The hotel pool and bar was great. We all loved it and spent hours in it. Very clean and refreshments served at the bar were perfect. Highly recommended. we really did have a wonderful holiday.

My son and I have just returned from 10 days. The hotel is so nice , lovely coloured apartments and the pool is by far the best 👌 it's huge and spacious and it was never a problem getting a lounger at any time. When we arrived, at night our room seemed really stark and empty , a picture on the wall would of made it , but the beds were really comfy, the view from the balcony was amazing and the bathroom was really modern and the shower powerful. It was also cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels, that smelt great. The staff were also lovely , yanni moo and Georgia on reception and the two guys on the pool bar , so friendly and couldn't do enough And the cleaners always had a good morning for us. The views from the hotel are just beautiful. And it was refreshing to have safety deposit box and air-conditioning included in the price too :) We knew when we booked that the hotel was out of town, but it is actually a long way, we didn't even attempt to walk it in the heat But the shuttle bus service was great and only 1.50 each way per person. Taxi 6 euro as long as you avoid greedy jon , who tried to charge 8 He has a broken passenger window , so watch out for him. The little coves across the road were stunning and great for snorkeling. Breakfast, was interesting Loads of choice , but not always the full selection all the time, we found leaving it til after 9 was slightly better. To be fair there was always plenty to eat. If I could change or give any constructive criticism to the hotel it would be.. I wish everything wasn't charged to the room. I like paying as I go , so I paid each night . It was easy to loose track of what you had at the bar etc , but they were really well organised and you signed a tab.. The lunch time situation is strange. No menus at the pool bar. Just a few salads and kind of strange selection of sandwiches brought out, kind of late ish in the afternoon too ...no set time Small children would struggle to find something. I think even a small selection of food you could choose from a menu would be a lot better. All in all a fantastic stay , I would go back , but do like being closer to town

Beautiful looking buildings and amazing views. Friendly, helpful staff. Great selection at breakfast and industrious waiting staff. Lovely clean pool and plenty of loungers. Average priced bar. Rooms were as expected, basic but good enough. Not cleaned often and cups and glasses not refreshed but plenty of towels. Could do with SkyTV as only channel we could get was BBC24, would be nice to chill late at night with a film. Shuttle bus in the village frequent and 1.50 euros each way. We hired a car for most of the time, free car park, but a little scary on the mountain roads! The private beach is beautiful, especially at dusk, large pebbles and clear water. Skala is my favourite village out of the many I’ve visited on the island. Really didn’t want to leave.

Nice and quiet hotel with amazing seaview. Friendly staff and amazing food. The road to the beach is pretty steep so I wouldn't recommend to older people or someone with disability. The hotel has usable wifi but don't expect too much and the shop is pretty expensive. The hotel also has transfer to the city for a small fee.

Lacks somr of the charm of other parts of Greece due to the earthquake of 1953 and rather generic reinforced concrete low rise buildings on island .Brightly painted villa like hotel rooms , clean but old pitted chrome in batherooms from 1960s. Tea making facilities but no provided tea or coffee . Very poor internet- only good spot near the pool . One cleaner didn't clean the coffee mugs , the other one did . Weird square deep bath/shower - too small for adult to sit in . Basic wine list - 2 reds and 2 whites. Buffet good value in evening . Friendly staff but too keen to take plates away ! Nice little beach but pebbles hard on the feet amazingly clear water. Friendly shuttle driver , shuttle every half hour into town but needed to be booked . Sweet little town with inexpensive restaurants, supermarket and pharmacy etc. Two good restaurants easy walking distance from hotel .

Fantastic. What a warm and helpful hotel. The setting is beautiful, the hotel is very clean and has a family feel to it - really relaxed but accommodating. The coves right in front of the hotel are stunning and perfect for snorkelling. Some great restaurants within a 15 minute walk. And the hotel offers a shuttle to Skala every 30minutes (which I highly recommend in the heat). The breakfast was amazing - huge choice, lots of Greek food as well and freshly prepared. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again - a big thank you to all the staff.

This was our 2nd visit after coming here in 2016. Hotel is in lovely location and is spread out like a village rather than a hotel. Lots of space and good pool area. Never a problem getting a lounger at any time of the day. Pool pleasant temperature and welcoming. Lovely little pebble beach opposite for snorkelling. The rooms all have sea views of some sort and are average size, with a decent bathroom. Cleaned daily. No issues. We stayed B&B only so can't comment on dinner. Breakfast was okay, there was a good selection to suit all tastes, but...most hot plate food was lukewarm at best bordering on cold. Fresh fruit selection limited to the same four for 10 days, and the strawberries were just inedible. Over ripe, dried out and in places going rotten. We took our own supermarket bought fruit in with us each morning. The coffee machine was lovely when it worked but failed to dispense milk for several days. the greek yoghurt was delicious as was the pastries. This hotel has lots of steps which start at the roadside up to reception, and all round the grounds to get to rooms so no good for those with mobility issues. It is also a good 40 minute/2 miles out of Skala town. Walkable but also a mini bus service available at 1.5euros pp per journey. Taxis available for 6 euros each way. Staff friendly and helpful, and Mariana on reception was just lovely. On the whole a lovely stay. We would return to Skala anytime as the town is just lovely with lots of good and average restaurants, and a good beach. We would more likely stay closer to town in future though. Tourist tax is 3 euros per day per room payable on check out.

We stayed at Porto Skala village hotel from 25th May for a family wedding in Skala. 7 nights bed & breakfast booked with EasyJet as a package holiday. We were a party of 6 (3 adults 1 teenager and 2 children). One of the adults was in a wheelchair and while the slopes to her room was challenging it was doable, plus the staff couldn’t have been more helpful to accommodate her. Yes the hotel is in need of some upgrading/refurb but our rooms were absolutely fine. Shower hot water was a bit of a hit & miss, beds were really comfy and clean, plus housekeeping couldn’t do enough to help (2 nights in a row 1 child was sick and then next night the other and housekeeping stripped bed and cleaned the room). The hotel bus was great to get to town we used several times and had no issue drivers were really helpful. (We only ate a few times in the restaurant for dinner ( due to wedding celebrations elsewhere) while we found enough food selection for adults, our teenager and children weren’t really catered for. Also the food was often cold and it really should be labelled to show what we were eating in the event of any food intolerances etc. The steps down to the beach is not for the faint hearted and beach shoes a must because of Peebles/rocks. Overall we had a lovely time at the hotel staff were so lovely and and helpful (thank you) we also thought it was value for money.
