Enjoy your stay in Skala!
My sisters and I had a wonderful stay at this very special little hotel. The staff were all lovely, especially Denise on reception who could not do enough to help. The hotel was lovely and clean. It was the best breakfast I have ever had in Greece with lovely boiling water for tea and coffee (usally hard to find). It's only a 10 min walk into the town, right opposite the beach so absolutely perfect. We will be back.
Myself and my husband have just had a weeks holiday at The Paspalis, the experience was simply the best! From arriving to leaving we had 5 star quality service, from the receptionist Denise to all of the lovely hardworking staff, our room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, meat and cheeses, as well as cereals! Lovely tea and coffee and fresh juice too. The hotel is in a lovely position across the road from the beach and a nice walk along the front to all the bars and restaurants. We went the first week in October and the weather was beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing break surrounded by friendly staff and guest.
What a fantastic hotel. Fab location, the staff so friendly. Denise on reception, is so lovely. She is so helpful and accommodating, nothing is toomuch trouble. Had a wonderful week here . We will definitely come back.
Paspalis Hotel is a small basic hotel. Our sea view superior room was very underwhelming. The superior rooms are in a block that is tucked behind the hotel and our view was of the back of the blue room block and a part built construction with the sea in the distance. Breakfast was nice but there was no variation to it at all during our two week stay. Lovely pool area with plenty of comfortable loungers but we didn’t use the pool as it was very green in places and was in need of a good clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent and always very busy for that reason, probably one of the best places to eat in Skala. After reading all the glowing reviews on the hotel perhaps we were expecting too much. The Paspalis Hotel is not somewhere we would recommend.
Very relaxing and chilled hotel and area . Beach literally across the road that is not busy also a very good.pool on site .The staff where very helpful and the food was of very good quality and they are not shy with the portions. Rooms are comfortable and have air-con ,mini fridge and flat screen tv. Only downside was.the frosted glass partition for enough to the shower and toilet but not enough to dampen the mood of the holiday. Great place and would 100% definitely return
It was lovely to return to Paspalis after 3 years (thank you Covid!). We have been visiting since 2004 and it's like seeing the family. There have been changes in that time but the welcome is still warm. We booked direct and everything ran smoothly from the moment we left the airport. We had a brilliant holiday, met some old friends and had wonderful food in the taverna. Thanks to everyone for a special time. A special thank you to Denise who managed to find us a room to shower and change before we left for our late flight. You're a star. We've already booked for 2023 so will be back.
We have just returned from this fabulous hotel which we booked for our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything was very good. We booked direct with the hotel and we requested a high floor sea view room which was very clean and the view from our balcony was lovely. Everyone who works at the hotel work very hard to make sure you have a great stay. We booked half board and the food was amazing. We can honestly say it’s one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We cannot fault anything from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. A big thank you to all the staff who make this hotel so special. We will definitely be returning and looking forward to it already.
The hotel was basic but clean. I was a little disappointed about our view from the balcony but it didn't spoil our stay. There was no lift for us so it did mean having to carry suitcases up a couple of flights of steps this wasn't a massive issue to me im putting it in the review just to make others aware, the receptionist did offer to get help for me though so they did offer help. The position is ideal as the beach is across the road and its a short walk to the town centre although there is a bit of a steep hill. The hotel has sunbeds on the beach which where 10 euros a day for two and they had staff that would bring food or drinks from the hotel if you asked. The staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely and couldn't of been more helpful. I was a mum travelling on my own for the first time with my Autistic son and they were so good with us especially in the restaurant with my sons eating habits. The food was absolutely spot on. We did bed and breakfast but had a lot of other meals there and couldn't fault it. I would definitely go back here again. A memorable holiday and a beautiful place to visit. …
Second visit to Paspalis and again had an excellent holiday. What makes this hotel special, along with its ideal central location, great pool area, gardens and beach access is the staff… all of whom could not be more friendly or more helpful. They all work very long hours, and no request is ever too much, they really are committed to making your holiday as easy and as enjoyable as possible. The breakfasts were pleasant and plentiful and the snacks, lunches and dinners served in the Taverna can not be faulted. Probably as good if not better than most of the restaurants in town. Typified by the fact that many non residents used the taverna on a daily basis. Can not recommend the Greek specialities enough. Comparable in price to others, but portion size and quality far superior We were allocated a room in the reception block, which had a fantastic sea view from the balcony. However, we found the room very dark and dated and in need of a good make over to be honest. There were 3 of us sharing the room and whilst it was spacious, it lacked any storage other than a 1 door slimline wardrobe so we lived out of our cases. Not ideal for a 10 day break. The Beds were the hardest we’ve ever endured… therefore I was happy to jump out of bed asap and not return until I’d sampled a good few cocktails to help me sleep 🤣. After viewing rooms in the other blocks during our stay … hopefully the rooms in this block will get made over during the closed season, to bring them in line with the modern feel and quality of the others. Have to say though on the plus side, the shower was amazing … more powerful that any we’ve experienced in Greece and it had a step into it which meant you didn’t flood the whole floor every time it was used! Huge thanks to the staff for another fantastic holiday …. We are now awaiting (reasonably priced!!) flights for next year to be released, so we can hopefully book to stay with you again. Until next time Paspalis…
Our first visit to Kefalonia having been to numerous Greek islands and Mainland. We were at the Paspalis in early August, our cases didn't arrive with us unfortunately, howeverJet2 were great and they arrived the next day. It didn't spoil us having a fantastic relaxing holiday. Hotel its self is clean with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are all so friendly. We ate in the hotel a couple of times and the food was lovely. Must say that Skala is a pretty resort and has a feel of a real village about it with some great restaurants, namely the Galera and Socrates. Ok the beach isn't fine sand but the location of the hotel directly opposite makes up for it, plus the sea was gorgeous along with the weather. Would we return to Skala, Kefalonia and the Paspalis? Yes we would but there's so many other parts of Greece we want to visit yet …
