We stayed at Sterling Karwar for 3 nights. We had booked 2 rooms. The bedroom and living area opens up to a stunning view. The rooms are clean and sanitized. One room is having sea view and other room having palm tree view. It is locatebd on highway next to Kali River providing spectacular view of Kali River and sea. This resort even has taken all the security measures required for the COVID situation. Staff is very well trained. Everything is sanitized and all staff wears mask and gloves. Because of COVID situation Activity area, Swimming pool, basket ball, football etc are closed. It was good stay at Sterling Karwar in terms of hygiene, safety and ambiance. Front office service was excellent by Mr.Sougata Mitra and the staff is very polite and helpful. Restaurant provided tasty food and excellent service at very reasonable price, the food menu, however is very limited due to the pandemic situation, social distancing is maintained. Want to mention some names from restaurant food manager Rajib, Ajay, Chandras and cook Sandesh & Davender. Wifi is only free for the first one hour and then they charge for the rest of the day. If you are planning a visit to Karwar I would definitely recommend the Sterling resort👍

The hotel room was very specious and having nice view of the sea and the mountains. The bathroom was specious and clean. The hotel staffs were friendly and smiling. Special mention of Mr. Ajay who were very helpful and clarified our doubts about the trips we wanted to make. They need to improve on the cleanliness of the room(bed cover was torn and dust on floor) and variety of food served.

Sterling Karwar has taken adequate measures and precautions for sanitization & doing thermal scanning of the guests alongwith Aarogya Setu check. All staff members were wearing face mask in the right manner & without exception.
The stay was comfortable, along with good quality food.
Hospitality from Mr. Sougata and F&B manager Mr. Rajib Das was exceptional. They took care of our queries and requests in best possible manner, and were easily reachable.
The lift had a toothpick method of avoiding touching lift buttons with bare hands. And the sea-view from "Privilege Suite" balcony was beautiful & soothing, with clouds passing through the mountains & into the sea. We could see a lighthouse too in the night from our balcony.
Murudeshwar and Gokarna are easily accessible. And while returning to Bangalore, Jog falls can be visited too.

We had a fun filled stay at sterling karwar in the first week of sept 2019. I am a sterling member. We were a group of 4 ladies and 2 kids. We had a early checkin at 6 am and the ppl at the reception so readily provided us one room. We loved the nature walk along with Mr. Ganesh. It was a 1 hour stroll behind the resort towards the river. The entire stretch was green. Resort and rooms are clean. Few games in holiday activity. Swimming pool was great and we enjoyed a lot in the pool. The entire staff at sterling karwar deserves a thumbs up. They arranged our sightseeing and travel to the airport. Food was good but a limited menu. We used to travel the town in an auto. People in karwar are good and it's a safe place. Overall a enjoyable trip at a awesome resort. Summers in the resort would be great as there is a small cricket volleyball and football ground in the resort. We surely visit again.

Sterling Karwar is the perfect gateway to experience the calmness and scenic beauty of both mountains and river/ sea. The view from our suite was soo mesmerising as is evident from the pics that i am falling short of words.
I was elated when our room was upgraded to a suite on the 6th floor . The front desk staff ( parveen) were very helpful and courteous enough to cater to our demands of early check- in and late check -out . Also ,should mention about the housekeeing staff - immaculate in their job.
Speaking about the amenities ,they have a gym,swimming pool ( this requires some repair though), a huge garden area besides the pool which the russians use for excercise ( the property is immensely popular with russians as they have a work location nearby ,the karwar Naval base ),an activity room with lot of indoor games.
We had opted for complimentary breakfast and dinner which was a great deal as the dishes served were very delicious and as per our requirement
Overall it was a fulfilling experience and a pleasant stay thanks to the staff . Wish i could have extended my stay.

Spacious resort with good parking area. Every day rooms are get cleaned with changing of towels and napkins and other consumables such as tea and coffee sachets. Food was excellent. Rooms Since we went in a lean time, we were offered a special room which had a large sitting room as well as a balcony overlooking the sea. Rooms had all the standard amenities. Washroom had all the toiletries. The only concern I had was the bathing tub which I was not used to as it could prove slippery. Also the washtub was not enclosed with a curtain which allowed the shower water to splash all over the floor. Mini fridge, safety locker, kettle, hair dryer, bath slippers etc are provided.
Nearby activities The resort has a decent sized pool and a few indoor activities. A few outdoor activities are created for the kids. Sterling resort is 5 kms away from Karwar town where a pristine beach is located which do not have maddening crowds. Adjoining it, is the war museum(₹15/head) which has a stripped and decommissioned missile boat which can be inspected and a maritime patrol aircraft which has 2 sets of propellers. A little further away is the stunning Rock Garden (₹40/head) which has life size carvings of various local communities and their activities in a village. Nearby is the Kali river garden(₹15/head) which is well maintained and some boat trips run by a private company. A short southward drive takes one towards the naval base which is a restricted area. Finally, the Sunday bazaar in town is worth looking into.
Walkability One can walk down a narrow path towards the beach below, but the gate is closed early evening as it is not an official track to the beach. Since the property is on a national highway, it is unsafe to walk outside on NH66.
Food and drinks Decent indian breakfast alongside fruits, juices, cereals etc makes it appetizing. There is a bar serving drinks in the afternoon and evening.
Noteworthy details Shubada from front office, Raksha from housekeeping and Premkumar from dining are the real VIPs. They take personal care and are very attentive to their duties.They can be poached with a better offer.

The view of the hotel from the outside and inside was excellent.
Minor works to be done in room, which the staff is very polite to do it for you.
The housekeeping and front desk team is soft and calm, they guide you through all the needful things.
It's located on the highway between Panaji and Karwar. If you are traveling by bus, they can stop right in front of the hotel.

Thank you for being the most courteous and Perfect hospitality!! We stayed here with family to celebrate New Years from 29th Dec to 2nd jan , and gotta say was the best experience here !! The reception is very prompt and very helpful, they guided us very well in planning our day to visit near by places !! Specially the front manager Mr. Sougata Mitra , very soft spoken and always a smile on face to greet you every time he met us . all the staff , reception , restaurant , play area and room service were very professional at there work in making us feel the most comfortable, every time we needed to make special food for our baby the staff was more than happy to do the best and should say best they are.
