Not luxurious but the ability to access the wonderful Great Barrier Reef is luxury in itself. From rooms with ensuite to permanent tents with shared facilities, there is a range of accommodation, but there is so much to do that the only time at your room is for sleeping, showering or lazing on the verandah. There are the lagoon, ocean...

This is not for you if you want TV, phone reception and fancy smelling shower accessories. We stayed for a week this time and totally relaxed. walking past the green frogs every morning on the way to breakfast. making sure you, yes you, step around the nesting bird, or the turtle nest. The turtle found the path the best place...

We stayed at LEI for 5 nights and it is truly wonderful place. The island is beautiful with unique snorkeling of the Great Barrier Reef. We stayed at the Island Suite, so, we had a private bathroom which was simple but nice. We snorkeled with turtles every day, and, we saw the mantra ray & sharks….it is amazing The buffet...

Absolutely the best thing we did while on vacation in Australia. The snorkelling was brillant, the marine and bird life spetacular, the staff very friendly and the food great. The flight to the island was also amazing. Already planning our next trip back! Advice going for longer than the day trip as there is so much to see!

Snorkelling around the Island was brilliant, the colourful fish and the turtles were one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand and Queensland. And, the return flight out to Lady Elliot Island in the Cessna 'caravan' was good fun too. However the island itself must have been visited by 100,000s visitors over the years and just looks worn...

Loved our two nights stay. Great snorkelling, loads of turtles, a turtle laid her eggs right in front of our room. Staff very helpful and friendly. Reef view room well worth the money. Enjoyed the flight to the island, great views, even saw manta rays from the air.

I've lost count, but I think this is our 6th or 7th trip to LEI. On our first trip, we found the beauty and tranquillity amazing and the diving was second to none. The second time we married in 2011 on the island under a beautiful sunset at Coral Gardens with the help of the great LEI staff (Did some...

I just returned from my 3rd visit to the island. I did not think it could possibly get better but it has improved in every way. The facilities have been upgraded there are more flights and the food, whilst always good was even better. Every time you set foot in the water you see something different. It never fails to...

Mantas and Turtles and Sharks, oh my! Lady Elliot Island offers the Great Barrier Reef at your doorstep. As the name suggests, it’s an Eco resort. If you expect 5-Star hotel luxury, you need to change your expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed six days and are making plans to go back. The diving is world class and a quick boat ride...
