I wanted to get away from work and my busy life. I've always wanted to travel to Mexico. I wasn't interested in the resorts, so I typed in "bed and breakfast" and found Casa La Ventana. Everything was perfect. The locals were friendly and very helpful. I traveled alone and felt very safe. Christina allowed me to stay in her...

My stay at Casa La Ventana was meant to be the necessary link between a stay further south along the coast, and my return flight home out fo Puerto Vallarta. It turned out to be a highlight of my trip. Christina and Don have created an incredible experience that not only satisfied my standard bed and breakfast criteria- peaceful, comfortable,...

What a beautiful place! I would love to go back for a few days... Christina welcomed us very well, the food is delicious and the house is so charming! Even the rainy season didn't made me feel unhappy... There is a distance between the town and the rest of the 'world' but at the same time, it's near by a...

I was able to completely "unplug" from everyday reality and just feel at peace in my environment. Casa La Ventana had all of the American amenities that I needed, but I still experienced the most "authentic" time of my life! From walking and eating in the village or swimming with the dolphins (life long dream), to touring the botanical garden...

Accommodations at Casa La Ventana were top notch, 5 star Boca style. Christina was a wonderful host, and Chappa and Sochiel were very helpful. My room was overlooking Boca and I woke up to sounds of the jungle and of village life. Was pleasantly surprised to see I didn’t need a power adapter as the Casa is wired with American...

Great alternative to the hotels and hustle and bustle of PV. Ultra comfortable, clean and felt like home. Easy access to lots of activities....we went fishingwith a local celebrity (El Tigre), snorkeling, kayaking, hiking up the river and even watched the World Cup while sitting on the beach with a margarita! Christina (owner) knows all the locals and helped with...

Where do I start? With the gorgeous location snuggled at the base of the mountains where the river meets the sea? With the friendly locals found everywhere? With the opportunities for hiking, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, kayaking, or playing chicken foot dominos? The wonderful breakfasts of fresh fruit, homemade hotcakes, banana bread and coffee elegantly prepared by hostess Christina? Or, the...

Let’s see….so much to say about our lovely stay in Boca. First, the Casa La Ventana and our room has to be commented on. Extremely perfect room, the view at daylight each morning, the cool breeze as the sun comes up over the mountains, and what a view… Then the coffee waiting for you every morning to enjoy on your...

...at least that's how we felt after returning from a week at Casa La Ventana. Honestly, my boyfriend and I feel conflicted that we may never want to go anywhere else. Staying in Boca with Christina and Don makes you feel like you are part of a beautiful, peaceful Mexican community, and that you have made several new friends -...

First off, the town of Boca de Tomatlan is beautiful and the people are wonderful. A good rule of thumb for Boca, is just to relax and be cool with everyone, and they will turn out to be more than friendly and accommodating. Casa La Ventana is in a great location on a hillside right next to the beach, and...
