Pie de la Cuesta is a breath-taking destination, and Baxar is designed for that. Beautiful facilities: plants, beach beds. Clean and big rooms. Few minor points are the food and service. Although it depends. The last days we had an excellent waiter. And food we ordered improved.

nice ambience, spacious rooms with nice decoration. Kingsize bed with a kind of lounge/sitting area. Waterpressure is not that good in the bathroom but that was not a big issue. Had a good rate through hotels.com with like 50% discount. Hotel is not worth the rackrate they ask on their website. Was able to do the kayak tour that was... More

Very nice hotel with direct access to the beach. There is music in the beach area, mostly lounge electronic, so be aware of that. Also, if you do not like to hear music in the evening, do not take a beach facing room. The service is excellent, the food is overpriced. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so... More

I have loved this place for 20 years (even back when it was "Ukae Kim"). Funny how one crappy incident can ruin a lifetime of memories. Was there in November with friends, family etc. It seems management can make up their own exchange rates (Dollars to Pesos). It seems the peso is much more valueable at Pie De La Cuesta!... More

Great hotel, a little bit pricey, but still ok. But the food is expensive and not good at all. If they improved this, I would put an excellent review. The price of the suite is just not worth it. They should improve their service, for example having clean towels for the beach, and better training for their staff.
