A lovely room with excellent air conditioning and traditional decor, matched by modern amenities, good wi-fi and even tea making facilities. My room was upstairs and the double glazing and shutters made it very quite overnight. I stayed for two nights for work and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order and...

My wife and I stayed here for four nights during the week. They are a restaurant and a small hotel. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone. Our room was a little tight, but recently renovated with antique furnishings. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet due to the triple-panes windows and door. The breakfast was fantastic....

A late decision stop and stay in a hotel led to a quick internet search and finding Sole. Glad we did. It's not dripping with Venetian opulence or New York razzmatazz. It does what it says on the tin. Very helpful and accommodating host. Great room and a nice bed! What more do you want? Very clean and comfortable and...

I normally stay in Arona on business but I'm currently staying at the Sole while on a course at Agusta Westland and I can only say that I will be back. The rooms have recently been renovated with triple glass windows and main door, the bed is very comfortable with fresh new bedding and the hospitality of the staff is...

Stayed there between Christmas and New Year 2015. We knew Sesto Calende from Summers 2006 and 2007 when we were on campings along Lago Maggiore and did our shopping in Sesto. Now we stayed there an evening in order to leave the following morning from Malpensa. Oppositie to the situation in summer when Sesto is crowded we could now enjoy...

The hotel Sole is in the little town of Sesto Calende, right on the lovely Ticino river side just a few kilometers from the beautiful Maggiore Lake. Very comfortable room, kind and helpful personnel, great restaurant. I've spent three nights on a business trip and I haven't found a single flaw.

Stayed for 5 nights recently while attending a course at AgustaWestland school, perfect location for those attending the school as it is literally a 5 minute walk away. A boutique hotel which is OK to stay at, the staff were very polite and helpful, always smiling and friendly. The rooms are a bit lacking in that not all of them...

Hotel Sole is perfect for starting or ending a trip to Milan. Only 15 mins from Malpensa airport, Sesto Calende is ideal for a late arrival or early departure. We found that many local Italians couldn't understand why we would want to spend a night there, but the charming old centre on a riverbank make it perfect for a relaxing...

The hotel was in a very good location. We travelled by train. It was only an eight minutes walk to the rail way station. The river was beatiful. Just over the street and you can sit by the river Ticino. Everyone comes here. Families to feed birds. Joggers. Cyclists. Hotel stuff was friendly. There were lots of restaurants around and...
