My wife and I stayed here for two days in April 2013. We learned that the Owners had recently remodeled/upgraded the hotel. We were not disappointed. The location is perfect within walking distance of the Funicular and a focal point for the hiking trails. The...More

I see no reason why you would not be able to take the bags with you. There is nobody to check you as you go on board because you go through a turnstile (like on the metro/subway) where you validate your ticket. However do be aware that you have to climb steps up the side of the funicular to climb on, and at the other end you climb again to reach the exit. Quite steep steps if carrying suitcases but manageable. You do not say what time of year you are going so no idea how crowded the funicular will be, but I really do not think you will have a problem. Enjoy your stay!
