We stumbled across the hotel during a tour of the lake and stopped here for lunch. I have to say it was amazing! The hosts were amazingly friendly and the location was unbelievable, right on the lake. Our lunch was lovely and for some reason we were the only people there, so we had a panoramic view of the lake...

Pleasant family run hotel of 12 rooms, some with balconies overlooking Lake Garda. Excellent friendly service with larger sister hotel approx 100 yards away. We stayed 6 nights. Gargnano is pretty and in a good position with ferry services to all parts of the lake. Hotel restaurant was good and there are also plenty of other restaurants close by. Would...

The hotel is a piece of old Italy - personal helpful service, period rooms of good standard and situated on the lakeside; in fact you can feed the ducks with your breakfast crumbs. We have stayed their twice and have had a tranquil, lovely time. It is 1minute to a tiny harbour and a ten minute walk (with a little...

We had a short 5 day break at this lovely unspoiled village on the Western shore of the lake. First recommendation would be if you are going to Lake Garda, stay at a village or town in the top half of the lake. The main reason is being surrounded by mountain views. We went to a few towns in the...

This was our second trip to Lake Garda and this experience at Hotel du Lac was as excellent as the first. We were there for 5 nights. This is a small, beautiful hotel, the food is great, and the staff very friendly as with our first stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was recently remodeled. The continental...

This is a very special little hotel that deserves way above its 3 stars. It has one of the best positions on the shores of Lake Garda. Valerio manages a great team and is 3rd generation of the Arosio family who own the hotel. Service was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Everyone seemed to take a pride in their job and...

This lovey hotel sits at the best spot on the lake, in our opinion! Obviously the lake-view rooms do look wonderful but we chose a street facing room to save on costs and it was totally fine, there's little traffic or noise from the front side. Guests can sit out looking at the lake in the terrace areas no matter...

Vivien and I had room 6, with balcony overlooking the terrace, the lake and distant mountains. It was comfortable, with a lovely big bed, well-equipped shower-room and effective air conditioning. The weather was warm and still for the first five days, so we could breakfast and dine outside, overlooking (overhanging!) the water, with its fish and ducks showing great interest....

Valerio and his team make you very welcome- he speaks English well and nothing is too much trouble. Gargnano itself is a beautiful place -the Rough Guide is right when it calls it the nicest place on the Lake- and the hotel is comfortable. Furnishing is quite antique(in the positive meaning of the word!) as Valerio likes antique furniture. Beds...

Lovely , small , family owned hotel , great location , comfortable rooms and friendly and helpful staff . Definitely worth a visit if you want a quiet break . Gargnano is less over run with tourists but has lots of decent eateries and plenty of charm . We took the boat to Sirmioni for the day and it was...
