We stayed at cuan after an afternoon with Will doing the Winterfell Experience. Staff were lovely and the game of thrones dinner was great, such a beautiful location and the breakfast was terrific. Went out for a run at 6am, nobody was up, peaceful and calm. If you want to discover the Ireland of old, then the people here will...

This was our 1st family day out. Dinner at The Cuan was beautiful, delicious crab claws followed by pear brûlée! I have to say staff were very attentive and friendly. Asking questions about little girl and without asking suggested cushion for behind her in high chair as she is only just able to sit. I was breastfeeding and I have...

This is my second visit to Strangford and The Cuan. Peter and Caroline, the owners, have been excelling in service for a long time. They love to connect with their guests and make them feel welcome. The staff have all been very attentive, particularly at meals and the food has been excellent. We came here to play golf and it...

Great establishment, perfect setting, delicious food and drink; and really lovely people. I found this place by chance having been recommended by the guys at winterfelltours. My wife and I don't get away very often on our own as we have a young family so time spent as a couple is very precious, at the Cuan our time was very...

We ate lunch here while on the Game of Thrones tour. The food was good but the soft drinks were more then normal as they came from bottles only. The door was excellent along with the old shop corner area.

Dear Claire V I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your lunch at The Cuan and the added interest of the old spirit grocer's shop re-created in the corner of the bar. The soft drinks are served from individual glass bottles to ensure freshness (this would be the normal practice for hotels). I hope you had the opportunity to...

Our group of 24 visited here for lunch. Varied menu for main course and desserts all of which were very good. The service and hospitality was great and we all had a very enjoyable afternoon . We are all looking forward to our next visit.

I wanted to spend a birthday in my home country for the first time since 1964. On previous visits to my brothers house in Portaferry we have also visited The Cuan for a meal and the food especially the fish was excellent. On this occasion I wanted to have my birthday meal in The Cuan and once again have the...

We went here for lunch as part of the Game of Thrones tour. The food was fast fresh and hot. Waitresses and all staff were fast, friendly and very courteous. It was the best fish and chips I have had since being in Ireland. Portions sizes were more than adequate and fish and chips was approx 12 pounds.
