Immaculate guest rooms full of character in this former 18th century coaching stables (1 twin & 1 double en-suite). There is also the added bonus of a great Inn right by for evening meals. The M5 motorway is just a short drive away and a mainline train station too, allowing easy access to a multitude of destinations around the South West from this B&B. Due to an IT issue at their end, they decided to cancel my booking two days before a wedding I am due to attend. Rather than wait a reasonable amount of time for me to respond and help, they cancelled without further warning (less than 2 days from the previous correspondence). M

THIS REVIEW DISTORTS THE FACTS & IS OUT OF CONTEXT 8 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING: We received Mr Harker’s initial enquiry for a room. He wanted a room to share with a friend. We informed him that the twin was unavailable due to refurbishment but that the double was available due to a late cancellation by a couple attending the same wedding as himself. He didn’t think it suitable for the two of them but said he’d take it for himself anyway. He was offered a single occupancy rate plus a waiver of the deposit due to the short notice and was requested to complete our booking form which was subsequently e-mailed to him as a Word document. We received no response from him until … 5 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING: He sent an e-mail but not the Word document that had been forwarded to him previously. We sent an e-mail back to him politely asking if he would kindly send the requested information within an e-mail, if attaching a Word document was a problem, so we could then transfer the details onto the form ourselves. No response was received. 3 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING: Still no response was received. Was it too much to ask for the details from him? Had he found alternative accommodation with his friend, as he originally requested? How long were we meant to wait without knowing? It was decided to e-mail him informing him that we could no longer hold the room for him, having already done so for almost a week!

"One of the joys is that there are only two rooms."
"We had south-facing room. Excellent choice and lovely walk in shower. Got carried away filling in ratings - there is no swimming pool or spa - Sorry"
