Good morning. This week my daughter and her high school classmates went to Portugal and stayed at this hotel. They had full board. The issue of allergies had been agreed upon with the agency and hotel from Spain and it seemed that everything was under control. Poor buffet, not suitable for teenagers and for allergic children there was nothing. For 5 days they were served rice and there was no tomato, with keptchup. In 5 days they did not give them a solution. A real shame, as the rooms and other amenities were very good. The children had to go to a nearby supermarket and McDonald's, with the additional expense that this entails having paid full board.

Located in a quiet neighborhood although a bit 'dilapidated, a few steps from the center, has clean rooms although not too large and definitely to be reviewed; in mine the double was practically attached to the French door and did not have the bedside table on one side. Bathroom quite spacious and with bidet. Buffet breakfast, classic mix of sweet and savory without big surprises. You can eat a lot without striving for too much quality. A note to the staff: the first night the receptionist tells us not to have a place anticipating our communication that we already had a Reservation. In the morning, two hours before checkout, they knock us to ask if, in the meantime, we anticipate the return of the towels. Which, however, we would have used again and therefore the Response was a “no”. In both cases a little patience would not hurt. Good value for money given the breakfast included.

Location good for transportation. Both train and bus station under 5 minute walk away. Room was ok, bed decent however a big thumbs down to the hotel for turning off their air conditioning, because of COVID. I stayed for 4 weeks throughout Portugal but no other hotel turned off the AC, yet they are still advertising in room climate controlled air conditioning. If you get a room not on the street side, there is no street noise at all, as the pool is on this side. Breakfast is at 7:30 during the week but 7:00 on the weekend. Because I had an early morning bus, the front desk staff called the restaurant and asked them to open early so I could have a meal before the bus ride. Breakfast was good plus had bacon and eggs. Pool area is huge and has lounge chairs. Wifi worked well. Only negative was the AC been turned off yet they still charged me the same price

The best thing for me was the food, it is a small dining room, without great varieties, but with very delicious, homemade food. In my case, I am celiac and intolerant to fructose, and they were very good to me, they took great care of my diet and served me with great care, all the food. My thanks to the cook and the dining room staff. Although I didn't have as much contact with the rest of the staff, the little I had was also very pleasant. The rooms are renovated, nice and clean. I definitely recommend this hotel for any type of stay.

Great location. Friendly staff. Very clean. Good breakfast.
Front desk staff are very helpful and quick to resolve issues. They help me to print covid test results.
The breakfast has a good variety of dishes, fruits and drinks to choose from.
All Covid precautions are in place.

This hotel was much better than expected. Though the rooms are old they are clean and have all amenities you require. We even had a fridge which was well used by us 🍷. The staff are excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. Rooms were cleaned every day. There was no balcony and we missed this. Breakfast was nice but the same everyday. Evening meal was mostly fine (buffet style) and good value at 12e. Lovely pool. Free parking. While there was air conditioning it was not available to use because of Covid. We got a fan free from reception for the week which was a lifesaver. Great location for using as a base to see the sights. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we hope to return again some day.

since i entered the hotel i hate the reception and his workers, cause every one is so cold and anthipathique.. the food is terrible and the waiters doesn't seem to bother if you are fine or not.. the rooms and the roomservice is not on time and we were always waiting for something.. or water, or room service or even to go to the restaurant that opens only in weird times..

We stayed in this hotel for one night on a round trip in Portugal (honeymoon). They hotel interior is a bit outdated, so the comfort is standard, but not great. Corridors and rooms are a bit dark. Furniture is not in best state, but not bad either. We also had dinner in the hotel which was buffet type. Again, it was good, but not great. So, we didn't mind to stay in the hotel for one night, but would certainly not choose it for a longer stay.

We didn't spend much time in the city, but our trip to the hotel made us think it was not very easy for our travel agency to find a better hotel in this city. But we could be mistaking, since we didn't see much of the city.

All in the end, I would say this hotel is certainly not bad, but not superb. Depending on the services and comfort you want in an hotel, I would certainly advise it or not.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as we were in town for a wedding.
We werent expecting much from the hotel due to the low price, however it was an OK experience. Breakfast is very basic, continental breakfast was provided from 7:30-10am.
The hotel is located in a great location within the town.
The staff member we checked in with was very welcoming and spoke English which was helpful for us! The lobby of the hotel is very modern and bright.
The room was quite old fashioned, we were given a room with two single beds pushed together which we didn’t mind, but we were expecting a double bed. My partner didn’t sleep very well on the bed as it was a bit uncomfortable. The room had a wardrobe. The bathroom had a bath. The toilet had a sign on which said it had been disinfected, but to my surprised there was a yellow drop of liquid on the toilet seat! I hoped it was just water from a previous flush but I cant be sure! So this did put me on edge to think what else may not have been cleaned properly!! I got my antibac wipes out and cleaned the toilet thoroughly!
As we were going to a wedding the second day, my partner needed an iron. Unfortunately this hotel didn’t have one so he had to run to our friend, staying at another hotel to borrow his. This was an inconvenience. We left our room in a bit of a mess as we were in a rush after not being able to find an iron, so we asked for house keeping not to make the room or disturb. However once we returned to the room, to our surprise, house keeping had come.

Positive: Super helpful staff. We got the 6th floor that had a nice view. There is a pool - saw people having fun there but didn't went there.

Negative: No parking, mini-bar is empty (if you need water or so, you need to ask at the front-desk), room needs some reno (mattress is old, pillows are terrible, AC was broken), I found hair on the bed and bathroom, the sheets had stains.

Breakfast is ok (despite the croissant was good!). It is a good hotel to stay one or two nights.

note: after my stay I received an email encouraging me to post a POSITIVE review here or if I had a negative stay, to contact the hotel directly - something that I found too bad.

"Stayed on the second floor facing the street and it was great. Very quite nights and A/c was excellent and totally quiet. If you hagle a bit and pay cash upfront for the stay, you may get a better nightly rate. It's just a 5 minute walk from main bus station and all kinfs of restaurants and cafes near by. There is a museum by the park and OBIDOS is just a 15 minute drive by car. The bed was very comfortable and even though the room is not large it was a good experience. It is a bit older facility but we would stay there again."
