Coming off a hectic year, we booked a few days at this hotel. It was very pleasant. The hosts were so nice, and gave us a lot of good suggestions for places to eat, etc. Seems like they had a back story for every restaurant in the town! The hotel is very clean. Our room had a balcony facing the water--we spent a lot of time there; it was just so pleasant, with the blue Aegean below and a light breeze blowing. The beach is pebbly and the water clear and fresh, very nice for swimming. The hotel has lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach you can use, and they will lend you beach towels too. The buffet breakfast is good, with breads, fruit, eggs, pancakes, and good coffee/tea. If you are looking for big city life, this is not the place for you. The town is small, though there is a small store and many restaurants. Everything is right on the water, so you can eat dinner while watching the sun set. It's quiet and peaceful. This is really what we wantedwe , and had fun with the beach, with birdwatching in the marshes near Polichnitos (flamingos and many other water birds, if you're into that) and just driving along the bay to see the coastal towns. There was wifi, and the hotel had all the modern conveniences. Shower could have been a little better, but really everything was very comfortable.

Family hotel and covers all standard needs. It was our 3rd visit to the place and we left happy again. I believe what makes the difference is just hospitality, being solution oriented and smile. This is what you can get from here without a doubt. I am sure most people will like the place. Just enjoy!

Vatera Beach Hotel was a wonderful start to our vacation. We stayed only five nights and wish it was longer. We had a seaview balcony room which was very clean, neat and comfortable. Takis, Jennie, etal were superb hosts. Everyone was professional, friendly, and helpful. They all ran the hotel very efficiently and green. The breakfast was excellent. We ate many other meals at their cafe and they were all fabulous. This was a good location for getting around Lesvos.

This was my second visit and I hope to be there next summer also. Nice beach, clean rooms, perfect service. Don't forget to visit therapeutic thermal baths in Polichnitos. Takis, Jennie and Stella thank you again for your hospitality.

Thanks to Mr. Takis Ballis, his wife and dear sister Jane, who hosted me as if I am their close friend. I admired their discipline and devotion to their job. Sea is the cleanest and food is delicious, no high volume music to disturb your reading at the beach.Helpful taxi drivers are available. Rooms are spacious and clean...I strongly recommend Vatera Beach.

We loved staying at Vatera Beach Hotel. The hosts were great and attentive. Food was very good. The hotel is at the beach so wake up and jump into the sea... We received great recommendations for nearby restaurants and even discounts from our hosts. Thank you...

I came here for many years as a child, so I can say it is perfect for young ones. You can walk straight from the dining area on to the beach, which is not too busy at this end of Vatera. Vatera itself has many playgrounds and places to explore, such as the small surrounding villages. The rooms are basic but clean and the balconies offered an ideal place to eat lunch and watch the sun set.
