Visited here one week day for lunch, there was a nice choice of dishes on the menu, the cooked ham was lovely and tasty and think cuts, the pate is very taste and come nicely presented. The chips are lovely. There is a lovely open fire to sit by and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere and the place is...

Had an extremely warm welcome when our party of 5 arrived for an evening meal. This was our first visit to the restaurant and it certainly won't be our last. The staff were full of smiles, polite, welcoming and very attentive which created a lovely warm atmosphere before we had even ordered our food. We all choose different starters and...

We used the Devonshire Arms as a staging post on a trip to Devon/Cornwall. Really nice location at the top of the village green, opposite the church. We had room 6, which was very large. Good bathroom overlooking the garden with roll top bath and excellent standalone shower. Bedroom overlooked the green. Quiet, although we were there midweek in November....

Enjoyed an evening meal for 7 of us. Called and booked late in the day, staff very helpful and accommodating. Meal was superb, steaks were excellent. Well kept beer, decent wine list, attentive staff / this really is worth a visit if you are in the area. If not, it is well worth a diversion!

We went for Sunday lunch. My brother was very impressed with the young waiter who helped into his chair out of his wheelchair. Limited menu, and if you go later you might find it even more limited e g Beef, Pork, and Lamb, but when we took the later sittng offered to us, no lamb, only one portion of Pork...

Really nice place, lovely quality food, the waiting staff very nice, but the senior person at the bar was distinctly miserable, was it just me, had I done something wrong! Sometimes after a long journey all you want is a nice friendly welcome, but she wasn't having any of it. Shame really, perfect otherwise.

We stayed at the Devonshire Arms for 2 nights. We had a room at the back of the hotel in an annex, and not in the main building. The room was a decent size and with a TV and a kettle for making tea and coffee. However the bathroom was the tiniest I have ever seen and the shower cubicle...

We had an enjoyable overnight stay here. A clean, crisp room and a good meal including a very nice serving of a selection of local cheeses. Located at one end of a village green it is everything a country pub/hotel should be.

Just Fantastic, nothing more can be said. The food is amazing and the service is top quality. The rooms are large with comfortable beds. Although a bit out of everything it is perfect for those people who want to get away from everything and put your feet up

We stayed here on the recommendation of local friends. It is a beautiful pub with rooms above. The rooms are bright, modern, tastefully decorated, clean and quiet. We ate in the restaurant first night after a long day,and the food was fantastic. Very busy,so please book. Sad to leave. Only thing that may put someone off is a nearby church, but there is secondary...
