Kings camping
Just returned from kings camping. We stayed 11 nights in the Bali mobile, also known as the sunset mobile.
There were two adults, one 15 year old, and one 7 year old in our group.
Sadly we had to rate this 3 stars because of the following
ACCOMODATION
Spotlessly clean, very new, but much too small and mobiles very close together. (We've stayed in many mobile campsites, and this has definitely been the most cramped in both mobile size and site.)
The two single beds were very narrow, although comfortable and more suited to children or small teenagers. (My 7 year old son took a nasty fall out of his bed while sleeping one night, but there wasn't enough room to prop anything beside the bed, because the space between both beds was so narrow). However the double bed was very comfortable.
PARKING
The parking is a major issue here, as the mobiles are extremely close together. The mobiles were positioned on both sides along very narrow roads, which meant that only inhabitants on one side could park in a narrow parking space on the road outside their mobiles, while the inhabitants on the other side ( us Included ) had to track up two more avenues of roads to our designated parking spot, which was really frustrating after coming from the supermarket!!. I would highly recommend renting a small car, as we feared that our larger car would get scraped.

STAFF
Very pleasant and helpful with good English. However, when we arrived, a guy on a moped led us to our mobile, literally pointed to it, told us where our parking spot was and drove off again, leaving us with key cards, that were ridiculously difficult to use at first, particularly when locking the door.
POOL
Lovely surrounding area, although needed a good power hosing!! And the pool was filthy, so we just opted for the beach., which was in walking distance with a variety of restaurants and shops and toilets .
SUPERMARKET
Well stocked, although we preferred to travel to the mercadina for more variety.
My son and I have wheat and dairy intolerances, and had no problem purchasing foods aAndalusia types of milks (soya, almond lactose free...etc..)in the supermarkets and well stocked health shop in Palamos.

LOCATION
Fabulous location, lovely beaches, and Palamos is only 10 mins away, which is a definite must. Palamos is full of beautiful little boutique and souvenir shops, with a good range of pharmacies, grocery shops, restaurants...etc
We certainly will return to the location, but would definitely opt for a larger camp site next time. We were all covered in bruises coming home from walking into everything in the mobile.

POINTS TO KNOW
Bring your own towels, both beach and bath, as they are not included in the linen.
There are very well kept shower and toilet facilities on site for campers, close to the pool, which can come in handy, if everyone is fighting over the one shower in the mobile. One laundry wash can take up to 4 large beach towels and 4 bath towels in the one machine load. The laundry detergent is supplied automatically.

Ive been coming to camping kings for the last 5 years with my work over the period for PGL. the site itself is one of the best sites ive experienced in a long time with great facilities and amenities. The pool area is very good to either have a dip in the pool or lounge on the sun lounges. The shop itself is small but has the basics in which to get any odds and ends you may have missed or not brought. The site has 24 hour security who are friendly and welcoming as with all the staff members here to make your holiday a rememberable one

We have just returned from the above after a ten day stay, we know this area really well (La Fosca) and this was the reason for choosing Camping Kings. The mobile home was excellent but I wouldn't like to try and get a family of 4 or more into the space although it has good facilities, i.e. AC, great shower, TV (only Spanish and French) hairdryer etc. The outside decking is also a good space. The time we visited was early September and found the vehicular access through the site was quite daunting due to tight corners, parking and general narrowness of the parking spaces. The whole site is a bit cramped, but I suppose they are all like that, but spotlessly clean and well looked after, the pool is great but as I am partially disabled I had great difficulty getting out of the pool as there are only ladders to get in and out so if you have any mobility problems this is a big drawback, especially if you love to swim as I do or when it's really hot. The shop is excellent and well stocked...Would I go again, perhaps not mainly for reasons above, but would always return to this area of Costa Brava as it's so beautiful.

We arrived here on a school trip with about 40 people, we staying in tents which were more like shanty towns and weren't water proof! I do not recommend staying here As there is no electricity and you get watched and followed by the workers 24/7. It's not worth the money and the plates do not even get washed at dinner, NIGHTMARE!!!!

We drove from UK to Palamós to camping kings ,
And we had a great holiday ! The campsite and facilities are very well looked after .
We stayed in the new mobile
Homes which had everything you need parking outside , AC , shower fridge / all kitchen supplies , my boyfriend changed the tv audio to English for us .
The campsite is just a 5 min walk to las Fosca beach which was gorgeous ! It had a few restaurants and we ate in El Timon a few
Nights , and also has a great beach bar as well .

If you walk up towards the castle ruins and keep following it along you also come to an old
Fishing village .

The campsite pool was a
Great size and always plenty of sun loungers ,
It also has artificial grass to just lay your towel down if you prefer .

We also found right next door a climbing activity called Explora park - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this!
It take about 2
Hours , the course was brilliant - there’s a waiting area if you want to just chill and
Take in the view or you are allowed to follow along if you want to take photos .

This afternoon really knackered my teenage boys out , they had a great time .

Also Palamós main
Town is only a 5 min drive from
The campsite , where you have loads fo restaurants and bars .

If we could stand to do the very long drive then We would defiantly come back again .

It's a very well run clean and beautiful campsite! The two beaches are 5 minutes and the more beautiful beach playa de castle 15 minutes away by foot. For the cyclists it's a beautiful area too as well as for the runners and joggers. Car hire is efficient and palamos is 20 minutes walk away.
However the pitches are not cheap and come in all sorts of sizes so motor homes watch out. The toilets are nice but one toilet paper point which seems to be the norm in Spain. The washing machines are only 4for the whole campsite.
They are building a hotel at the back of the campsite so the whole atmosphere might change! But overall it's one of the. Best I have seen and we had just spent 3 weeks here!!!

Really good for families with all ages. Very clean and tidy.
Swimming pools are great except the slides aren’t open very long or when stated.
Small shop on site with basics and sweets. Bakery with fresh croissants. They were very yummy.
So close to the beach! Walkable to Palamós and some beautiful views and coastline walks/runs. Great for kayaking and paddle boarding.
Entertainment wise, we didn’t see much a tiny tots disco and a magic show in the park. Parks great for the children making friends, playing football.
Very busy during peak Season and bank holidays.
Very clean shower blocks, toilets and washing up areas although we didn’t need to use these as our accommodation had its own.

El camping canceló mi reserva y se quedo parte de mi dinero.
The campsite cancelled my reservation and keep part of my money without informed me in advanced.
Incluso cuando llamé por telefono parecía que se reian de mi, muy lamentable su servicio de atención al cliente.
When I phoned them it seemed they were laughing and they were very rude.
Soy nacido en el pueblo de al lado del camping y mi familia es de la misma población así que bastente penoso que traten a la gente de ahi mismo de esta forma, no recomendaria a nadie su estancia en un establecimiento así.
I was born there and my family is from the same village so I won't recommen to anybody to go to a kind of place like this. A part from that in fact the facilities are quite old so better not to comment... That's a pitty because Costa Brava is beautiful but with this kind of companies which they don't care about customers...

I came 20 years ago and I think the campsite stayed in its juices without the activities that were there at the time.

We found a narrow pitch, almost without shade, an extremely dirty and undersized pool compared to the world in the campsite, an innumerable amount of wasps around the pools and sanitary facilities, my son got stung 3 times, so much so that the small paddling pool at the top is not accessible!!!

Activities are non-existent, no mini club, no meeting place for teenagers / children....

There is a huge potential in this campsite which at the time had a huge building next to the swimming pool with 6 bowling alleys and arcade games but which are not currently used!! What a waste.....

In short 1200 euros for a plot in the middle of the country and a swimming pool in which float hair, dressings and other dead wasps......
