La Fosca is one of the greatest beaches in Costa Brava. Located at the north of Palamós, is one of the best known, cleanest and quietest. In this wonderful place we have a 24 rooms hostal with an onsite restaurant and a beautiful beach bar. He have bet for fresh mediterranean cuisine, based on the season and products of our own elaboration as wine, cheese, olive oil and local-fresh from market- products.

Staff is great and the restaurant is quite nice but rooms are overprices for what they are. The shower is tiny, I'm 1,65 and slim and it felt like a coffin, I cannot image how someone bigger manages to get anything done there! The food at the restaurant is good and the menu has all allergies described but I was quite disappointed they couldn't do many dishes gluten free because the "picada" has bread in it. The cook can easily sweat the regular croutons for gluten free ones (I have been cooking this way for years). Breakfast is really nice and they provided gluten and dairy free alternatives with no issue.

Wonderfull position, the lounge and reception restaurant part, look like they have nothing to do with the rooms rented upstairs. Downstairs it looks rather nice, the rooms are what you expect in a rundown hostal next to the trainstation in a big city. Two single (beds?) Next to each other if you move, the structure moves as well, so not suitable for a romantic stay at a lovely bay, unless you're more then 40 years married. The door between the room and the corridor, is of the kind they use in cheap western movies, if you push, you go straight through and so does any sound. The bathroom hasn't been updated since it was build somewhere probably late 1970's all this for 90€ in low season.

The hotel is fantastically placed . The rooms are just basic. The quality of the food is good. The service is just a joke. A bunch of unfriendly and unprofessional youngsters none seems to manage them. I guess that the responsibility is placed in greedy owners that pretend to run a hotel with unprepared and low/no properly remunerated group of people. Really a disappointment.

We arrived and the table was dirty and had to request the cleaning of it... he did mediocre job. We ordered 2 x steak, a pork dish and a goats cheese salad. The steak was, at best, average and at no point were we asked how we would like it cooked. This is our second attempt here and both times are poor. We told the waiter that the steak was poor, he apologised and nothing more was said. The service was OK and the guys tried their best I feel a systemic fault within the hotel or restaurant my be th cause.....I would avoid if I were you

The rooms are humble but they are all you need. If you stay here it is to spend most of your time in the beach anyway. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and extremely friendly staff. Reasonable price in relation to its perfect location on La Fosca main beach. The restaurant is also excellent; high choice carte with fresh ingredients. In my opinion, the best choice where to eat in La Fosca (the Palamós prawns are authentic and fresh).

We loved at our 2 night stay at this little hotel right on the beach. It was late in the season, so we were upgraded to a room overlooking the ocean, which was small, a little tired but clean and delightful. The staff were a great team, hardworking, English - speaking and very friendly. We enjoyed two full lunches at the restaurant (great paella) which was deservedly popular among weekend diners. This is real gem, wouldn't hesitate to return.

Unbeatable shoreline location on Catalunya's best beach.
Room was basic but clean, bathroom very small and tired.
Breakfast was good standard and choice for Continental style. Starts at 08:30 which was too late for us.

I stayed at Hostal la Fosca for one night. To start with the positives: the location is awesome, directly at the beach and without car access. Staff (particularly Maria at reception and the cleaning ladies) are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was phenomenal and also the dishes in the restaurant always looked very tasty and fresh.
But the rooms are a real disappointment: they are more a hostel style than hotel. Furniture is ok but the bathroom is run down, you can hear EVERY noise from your neighbours, even the snoring at night and the bathroom visits. And the doors are being smashed until 2am and the procedure starts again at 6:30am. So if you are planning to relax during your vacation, this hotel is not for you. It has more the buzz of a youth hostel and of being busy 24/7.

Bijoux beach side hostel small rooms enough space to unpack and shower but not huge. The location is fabulous with a beach side bar attached and the sheltered bay to swim in. Breakfast buffet was good variety and fresh orange juice wonderful. Would recommend a short stay rather than a couple of weeks! Ideally placed for the Costa brava way GR 15?

Dear
The hostal has 24 bedrooms in two floors
