Our downstream 2 day cruise in Laos was a highlight of our SE Asia trip. 26 passengers (6 English , 8 French and 12 German speaking). The bilingual guides were informative, attentive, and friendly. Our English speaking guide's nickname was La. Perfect weather, comfortable seating, plentiful food and drink. The river life and scenery was majestic. The stops at local...

Our stay at this lodge was magical! It is on the Mekong river after a one day trip by long boat. The main lodge for dining is spectacular and the cottages very very sweet! I love the. Beautiful rooms with the romantic mosquito nets over the bed! They even supply mosquito repellent for the evening bugs, but we never found...

Lovely lodge with excellent view of the river. (Try to get a lodge on the river if you can). Dinner served on a lovely terrace and the gardents are beautiful. A nice respite for your day on the river.

The Luang say Lodge was a fantastic place to stay at the end of a day of cruising down the Mekong in northern Laos on one of their boats. Our cabin overlooked tropical plants & trees down to the Mekong below, an amazing view! I recommend this trip to anyone visiting Laos.

This is my second time taking the Mekong Cruise and staying at the Luang Say Lodge. It is the half way point between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai. Each couple/individual has a separate stilted bungalow. Rustic on the exterior it has all the modern conveniences you would want. Each house overlooks the Mekong River which makes for a beautiful sight...

A stunning location for overnight stay in middle of two day cruise down the Mekong from the Thai border to Luang Prabang. Lovely Eco friendly lodge with excellent staff, good food and well equipped lodges. Super views over the river made for a relaxing nights stay in an unusual setting.

The lodge is a very good compromise between comfort and nature. Going to sleep listening to the noise of the animals in the nearby woods or the falling rain was a pure pleasure. The joint evening meal with fellow passengers of the slowboat cruise is another nice experience. The food is simple but plentiful.

We took the Luang Say boat from Hoi Sai to Luang Prabang in mid July when the river was rising but still quite low and the rain intermittent and not a problem We were 12 on the boat which lead to good interactions between the French, Dutch, Danish and us as the only Brits. The river was exciting with many...

What an amazing experience! The crew were delightful, and very attentive to our needs. Food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the culture in the villages we visited, various ethnic groups, education and beliefs. Our stay in the lodge at Pakbeng was wonderful! I highly recommend this trip.
