We arrived there from the boat (going to Huay Xay) and spent one night. The room was proper and the bed was ok. We took the breakfast in front of the Mekong, looking at the elephants taking their morning bath, nice ;-)

I'm also looking at this destination but from what I've read, the Nagi of Mekong cruise also include a room in Pakbeng. So, i don't think you need to book a room.
