I always wanted to visit a prison in a developing country. This is the vibe that I got from these rooms. The walls were painted with murals...a long time ago. The water rarely flowed. No air-con. The door opened without a key. You just needed to jiggle the handle a little. No restaurant. I guess it was cheap at 800... More

The place was far from life place and nothing special. main complaint was that there were a LOT of roosters in the area and they make a lot of noise all night long. Also, they have a water tank that runs out of water all the time!!! Pool was not clean, you can feel bottom slippery when touching pool's bottom.

Booked here for one night due to other resort being full. The day before I was shown a room across the pool which looked basic, but decent. Upon arrival the room was suddenly 'booked' and got a room across the road. This one was terrible, bathroom almost fell apart, shower curtain in front of the windows and the wall probably... More

We contacted them by text message one day before arrival to arrange booking and were slightly sceptical as to whether we would have a room when we arrived. But, they knew who we were the second we walked through the door and gave us a room. Standard basic room, double bed and a fan with a bathroom with shower. The... More

We stayed at this place due to a bit of a miscommunication between my gf and I - she accidentally checked in while I was having a look at some other local accommodation.. The place is certainly one of the cheapest in the area (800 pesos), apart from some horrible fleapits down by the shore. The outside looks very inviting,... More

The place was fine but nothing special. My main complaint was that there were a LOT of roosters in the area and they make a lot of noise all night long. Aida, Mary-Grace and the people at Sunshine are very welcoming. They will make sure you're comfortable and treat you like family. I was here for Christmas and New Year's and Aida and family lovingly made us all a wonderful dinner! Being away from home during such festive periods, that dinner made the night special. The rooms are really basic (Ceiling... More

I enjoyed my 5 night stay at the Sunshine Pension House, and would definitely go back. It is only my opinion, but I found Aida a little more like the lady of the manor, rather than a good hotelier, but that did not in any way detract from my stay at the Sunshine Pension House, and I found the rest...
