We had the best time at Hilton La Romana. We stayed for 2 weeks on the family side(2 adult,no kids) but it didn’t really made any difference( as an adult you can use all the facilities). We never had any problem finding a sun bed. Pools are really nice, and pool bars amazing. We stayed majority of the time at the adult pool, the waitresses where amazing, always checking what we wanted . A little tip goes a long way, and you will never have a problem needing to go to the bar to order. All the staff in general are amazing, everyone greeting you with a smile, and they go miles to make you feel home. Food was amazing in all the restaurants, we had nice fillet mignon in Noor restaurant, but both adult and family buffet was nice as well. Really enjoyed the sakura cooking show. And the pizza on lunchtime near the family pool is the best, never even went in to the restaurant for lunch. You don’t need to make bookings in any of the restaurants you just turn up, you might need to wait a little bit( never waited more than 15 minutes) The only thing you need to book is the sakura cooking show. Beach is amazing, so nice and calm. White sand and turquoise water. Plenty of sun beds. The fun team is really fun. Esteban is the best, we loved him. The only thing is not the best is the isolation of rooms. If you have noisy neighbours you can hear them. Overall the best holiday that we ever had, we definitely going back!!!…
This Hilton property is immaculately maintained. It was elegant, exceptionally clean and the facility and team processes were well organized. Remodeled within the past two years the rooms were small but well appointed. Highly recommend the premium rooms which offer exclusive pools, restaurants and amenities not available to other guests. Security monitors this closely! I can’t say enough about the beauty and experience of the water and beach. Calm and clear, clean and spacious or is the best we have experienced in the DR, Mexico, Cozumel and Jamaica. We snorkeled on our own each morning from the beach and around the pier seeing many fish as well as a manatee!! Good separation of family and adult only areas. The buffet and restaurants are very good - extra costs for better wines or lobster which we didn’t mind. Exclusive restaurants for premium guests were excellent. Also - get the butler service!! Our butler Danielo was amazing with making reservations for dinners and excursions as well as providing a morning cooler to beach or pool with our drinks of choice. He also surprised us many times with special treats including fruit trays, cocktails served in cantelopes, coconuts, sweet/salty kid snacks and lots of champagne and chocolate for momma! Other noteworthy staff were Blanca Shedrak and Francesca Lebron with guest services/concierge. In advance of our stay they addressed questions and made special arrangements ahead of time. We were delighted that Blanca took the time to greet us personally on arrival and introduce us to Danielo. Picasso was a joy and our son truly appreciated him running the batting cage each day so he could stay on top of baseball practice while we were away. We didn’t want to lose a full day off resort for excursions and Danielo our butler helped us research private options vs. large group tours to customize to our needs. We also took the snorkel trip out in the bay by the resort - incredibly affordable and we were amazed at the diversity of fishes. Our guide was awesome and toured us through Bayahibe afterward.…
We had a really relaxing time and enjoyed every minute while we were there. We were looked after by the best staff ever. Choice of restaurants/eating places gave great variety and overall the food was excellent. Sunsets to die for.
Wonderful location close to the airport, full of wonderful staff and amazing amenities. Lovely polite attentive staff all over the entire resort. We had excellent service from Emilia, ignacia and Carmen from the premier pool bar. The water park is fun for everyone with no lines and lots of pool chairs. Evening entertainment was fantastic! Especially the Michael Jackson tribute which made you feel like you were at a real MJ concert. So entertaining!!! All staff at every part of the resort were always ready with a smile and an “Ola”. The water sports were super fun with paddle boards, hobie cat sail boat rental, scuba diving, sunset snorkel and rum and dance cruise which is a must - so fun!!! The beach is lovely but rather small. You need to get there early if you want a beach chair for a family of 5. Water is beautiful and clear. Something to remember is to bring one pair of closed toe shoes. Most restaurants say it’s mandatory but don’t always enforce. We made excellent family memories and are already planning to book again next year ☀️ …
Nice hotel, grounds kept very clean, beautiful but very small beach. The restaurants are pretty good for an All-inclusive. The rooms are standard with daily cleaning etc. Nice Waterpark and kids club. The resort feels cozy and the staff is pleasant. My drawbacks is they Do Not have reservations at the restaurants. It's a first come first serve basis. You can be waiting up to 2hrs to eat and that's even coming to dinner at a decent hour around 6:30-7:00 pm. Some nights we had to go to the buffet cause waiting over an hour was just too long. There was also False advertisement on their hotel discount booklets. We were told you can use your coupon when you book an excursion and that was not the case. We booked a tour and at time of checkout we were told 1. We had to present the coupon when booking. Which the coupon specified you present the coupon at time of payment. Then 2. We could only use the coupon on certain excursions not all. Which again does not specify in the terms and conditions. We were never told the dos and don'ts of the coupon book. It was deceiving and quite dishonest. I don't like false advertisement. Outside of that our trip was OK. Next time we'll go back to Cap Cana.…
Outstanding all-inclusive! Our group was two couples & we went with premium service including two of the most wonderful butlers FEBLES & YENNDYS who provided impeccable service each day arranging dinner reservations, brought our coolers to beach/pool, answered questions, both were welcoming, friendly, genuine individuals who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed! Kudos also Butler VICTOR who we had our first day and to WANDY who served us breakfast & lunch at our private pool/beach experience and serenaded us with his beautiful singing voice! Also JOSE at the specialty bar who made us his own special recipe drink with bourbon & Dominican orange. ANGIE did a great photo session for us! FERNANDO who sits next to photo desk was awesome & friendly, he introduced us to Hilton Playa Membership where we chatted with DANTE, PEDRO and MASSIEL who were great, patient, and pleasant! EVERYONE who works at this resort is genuinely warm and welcoming no matter where you walk throughout the resort! The hand gesture over the heart when greeting you is very special and endearing! We will return for sure, best place to vacation!…
The Hilton La Romana is absolute paradise and has set a very high bar for future travel! The property is beautiful from the grounds and gorgeous water to the many lobby’s and seating areas. Service was top notch from the moment we checked in. As Hilton diamond members we were introduced to our host Danilo who escorted us to lunch and made sure that everything was good with our room. We were having some noise issues with our room and needed a few supplies as well and he had both taken care of immediately! He was always accessible throughout our stay to answer questions or help with any other needs. He truly made us feel like VIP guests going out of his way to take care of us! This hotel truly knows how to recognize its Diamond members. We enjoyed the variety of the pools, restaurants, and bars. The drinks and food were good at the premium options but otherwise matches several other reviews and left little to be missed. We spent a lot of time at the premium lounge on the adult side and enjoying the many nights of live entertainment. We also thoroughly enjoyed the spa on multiple occasions. My massage from Maria B. Might be the best I’ve ever had! Yoga each morning with visiting instructor Sherry was also amazing and in such a beautiful meditation garden. The entire fun team staff made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves and taken care of - Yuliana, Rossy, Freddy, Pablo, Maria and the amazing Esteban! We will definite be back!…

Pro: Very clean hotel and rooms. The best slides ever. Contra: We have been travelling a lot. We tend to do 4 sunny vacations a year. I usually don’t write reviews, but in this case, I felt one was needed very badly, because this was our worst experience ever in 5-star hotel. First of all, I have to mention that we paid extra for Premium package! Despite that we paid 12.000 € for 12 days staying in the hotel, we have to pay extra for Christmas and New Year’s Eve – aprox. 100-120 €/per Person each dinner. And additional 150 € for Champagne. Normally we’re OK with additional paying, but in these cases Christmas and New Year’s Dinner ended at 9:30 p. m.! What made as the most unsatisfied was that we asked on the reception where it will be the best New Year’s Party and they said that on the beach. And we paid for it, and it ended to fast. But the real New Year’s Party was at the pool afterwards and for that we had to make another reservation. Unfortunately, nobody explained us before! And we weren’t only unhappy ones that night! We had to wait in a line for almost every meal for 10-20 minutes Also the food wasn’t something special. We’ve eaten much more tasty food in other 5-stars hotels in the world. There is a real issue with finding sun loungers on the beach and pool. Not just that. The most of sun loungers were broken. Also on a Premium beach. On the beach was very loud because there is public beach beside hotel’s beach. Also, at the night music from nearby domestic village is very loud. On some days you cannot sleep properly. Everywhere there were security guards and many of them looked and behaved like soldiers. On the beach there had to be also security guard with dangerous dogs because of drunk and pushy locals nearby. Security guards should make tourists pleasant and peaceful but, in this hotel, it was opposite from that feeling. It is also the question how clean the sea because of nearby village is. Everything from the houses and locals nearby goes in the sea. You can smell the ammoniac.…
