I was in Puerto Plata 3 years ago in an all-inclusive resort. All I did was eat, sleep, lay on the beach and only leave the "compound" on guided tours. Oh, and the all-inclusive places all have the same mass produced food. I hated it. When I went back to DR, I really wanted to SEE and EXPERIENCE the country....

I have stayed here on about 6 or 7 occasions when in the Punta Cana area on business, and feel comfortable here. The physical condition of the rooms has improved over the past few months, it's clear they're doing work on the place, and the buffett breakfast, including my always requested scrambled eggs and ham, is always delicious. A. photos are old, the pink color is gone, its all off white now - much better - very nice staff ! B. when i looked for a place in Punta Cana easter week, there was nothing less than $300- and as high as $900- for 2 person in a room per night in any of the all inclusives ...........

I stayed here on business, my company travel agents booked this hotel, and i will be taking them to task regarding putting me in this place. I arrived approx 21:30 after a long flight from europe. Initially the reception staff (both young) stated they could not find the booking ref and proceeded to push the card machine into my direction!...

I found out that the business has been sold and the new management will take over soon. With that said the rooms were very clean and BIG. The whole hotel complex was very nice and quiet. It is a 5 min walk to the beach area. There are shops along that way also. In the opposite direction within a 15...
